Thought you always start at noon?

I've been doing it like 3 or 4 hours later then usual because remember a few seasons ago when I was asleep during the quarter finals and I was boosted by a human and lost lol? Well I've been starting at around 4 and it's been working well for me

Yep. CD needs to put super popular vs. super popular. If one team has a ridiculously desired card (like say ... finally a draftable Kobe in a current tier), it doesn't matter if the other side has better rewards top to bottom, or if the RC card for the team with the draw is a repeat of the last one.

They have to know that the Kobe card is going to almost 100% guarantee a Lakers win ... so that makes me wonder why we don't see an RC Magic or something.

If they don't think they can make the demand roughly even, then the best thing they could do is make the RC card the same position for each side, so that no matter which one wins, the people who grind out the only non dupable card will get a reward that works for their lineup (and those who don't need it can take it easy and grind a different event).

The best plan would be to give people rewards based upon which team they play for, and find some other way to make which team wins matter in some way.

For that reason, CD do not intend to make a RC Magic. In fact, I would bet that CD will not make ANY RC cards for players who are in the "50 Greatest". I mean, as good of a player that can be considered RC caliber, they have yet to be proven and consider "The Greatest", or the "Top 50 players of All Time".

THat being said, it might actually be a better idea to just get POTG packs and hope for a dupe, then grinding 24/3.5 for the RC pro that may or may not cost more than POTG. Dang economics and opportunity costs.

It all depends on what each player needs. Sprewell's card is much better. Higher DEF, higher ATH, a team ability...

Me personally, i have Teague, Giannis (2nd and 3rd ATH) and Kawhi (2nd DEF). So my PG, SG and SF positions, pretty much cover those statlines. I need a super scorer. Kobe has the 3rd highest OFF for POs. That's good enough for me.

Why is Gasol the RC? Could have made it RC Kobe, PO Shaq and Star Gasol, but the Lakers would win that by a landslide so I guess they wanted to make it a bit more even.

Edit: Kobe already has an RC card, so nevermind.

The RC Pro is cheaper, not factoring in time. I took the Summer off and I'm just kind of doing projects around the house. My wife doesn't really bug me about the RC because I'm getting so much stuff done around the house, and I've also done a lot of the groundwork for our homemade Christmas gifts we're doing this year (Wood burning and staining something meaningful for each family member).

If the Knicks are ahead early, I'm gonna do my best to hit 25k points sometime on Saturday so I can just coast on Sunday and be sure I'll get the RC Pro Melo.

If the Lakers are gonna win, I think top 1800 is all I really care about. RC singles aren't useful anymore, and I'd rather just +5 my way to top 1800 casually if it's gonna be a Lakers win.

My gameplan for this RC is that I will pick the Knicks then play the first 5-10 minutes without Hotsreaks see who's on the lead (coz RC winner gets decided on the first few minutes of the RC) then if I see Knicks are winning I'm gonna buy hotstreaks for Top 100 finish, and if the Lakers are winning (which is the most likely result) then I'm just gonna play +5 all RC and finish Top 800 or 1800.

yeah I seriously doubt that CD will make any PO cards for players who already have a POTG.

as for me. I probably can't grind hard for the next two months -- before my candidacy exam, writing for proposal, all that good stuff.

I'm happy they made Gasol the RC. Takes the decision out of whether I want to grind this RC. Last top 800 was too grueling and I can't imagine doing that again for another PF.

Going by the very reliable facebook like system. This is going to be a landslide for the Lakers. They have over 21 million compared to 5 million for the Knicks.
