this is how i understand it... common bench helps because it keeps your invisible PO tier bar the lowest it can be. when you had your reg lineup + SPro bench, you were matched up accordingly, and bot difficulty was adjusted as well.
Guys, I'd really like to know what "common bench" in playoff seasons does. My state of knowledge always was, that common bench does nothing in the highest tier, as all players qualifying for that highest tier could potentially play together in the same season. Is that really true?
I've played my previous 5 PO seasons with full lineup aka 5 star pros in the inactive section. I thought being able to bring in these guys would allow me to energize less. But my previous seasons were hard. I never had the best lineup among humans and the bot strength was pretty good. Most of the bots had 8 PO pros - although not fully trained of course. But I lost from time to time.
Now I've started a season for the first time using a common bench. I have 6 PO pros, 2 greats, 2 star pros so I'm at least a tiny tank.
And what do I face? All humans seems to weaker than I am and the bots are a piece of cake. I have yet to see an 8 PO pro bot. But how is that possible? Can my lineup determine both human competition and bot strength? I don't think that's possible.
