Well as someone who usually tries to stay objective and positive, I hate to finally succumb to this thought process buuuuutttt it seems as if CD's practices as time has progressed from 2k14 to now has pushed tons of folks away. I'm sure they will say "we have more players now than ever" or "still doing well in sales" but compared to the last 2 years, things have died out super hard.

If this community here and the other forum is pretty much a ghost town then that is a great indication of how things have been progressing. All that to say even if they catch wind of this, players (free and some paid) have been hosed enough that it's just something else to add to the pile on the grave.

Oh I completely agree but losing the hardcore fan that knows the ins and outs and strategy of the game doesn't hurt them and even though NWGameDad comes on here and posts/responds I've never seen a company this big that doesn't support their own forum so clearly they don't care about our feedback unless it's something to nerf the game so stuff like that needs to be kept under wraps

Yeah, not even a few days ago I was on the same page and didn't think someone should have something so we could use it for ourselves but it's just so dead what's the point ha? To be fair though, they did advertise this forum in-game the last two years (haven't seen one this year) and they created a new job essentially for the large community of this game that is now used for their other games so they used to be pretty in touch with us.

Now it seems they have little to no reason to say much other than announcing the teams for new events. That is pretty sad cause the biggest reason I and many others kept playing was the closeness of the community and which seems to have been taken away because of all the practices they've introduced. Global chat is just awful and team chat is great but only 15 people at most so it's divisive to a certain degree unintentionally.

Can we not advertise this strategy over and over again here? I am running into more and more people who employ this strategy and if you want it to continue to work for you, keep it on the low key. To make it worse, it's almost to the point if you don't do it, you're being taken advantage by others who do. And you never know if CD would crack down on it to give more power back to the paid players.

That strategy needs to go away so I don't mind if CD sees it and does something about it. I honestly just want CD to fix matchmaking. I started a seasons a few days ago with only 2 star pros and I got matched up with people with 8-10 star pros

The team chat was a great idea in theory but my team has graduated to using a 3rd party app to communicate because the in-game team chat is trash

100% this! I dig the idea but the execution is not very good but I'm guessing its due to programming limitations or something. It does also divide everyone up so there's less of a large community chat that has any merit or potential to be heard constructively.

could someone PM me with this season strategy, and explain why/how it works?

When you go into a season, go in with untrained pro cards. This lowers your overall level, so you get matched with people who are at that level rather than the level it would be if your cards were at full training.

My main gripe is no notifications when new messages are posted in the chat. If you don't check the chat repeatedly you miss out. The lack of notifications made it impossible to coordinate when to claim perks, etc

Yeah, found that out the hard way when starting a new team and people had questions for me. I think if you have a group of 15 like-minded players then the experience can be great but with people using others apps like Whatsapp to communicate then it really just says you need to reevaluate how well the chat functions.

If CD commits to making enhancing things then the chat can be successful. Right now it's a joke...especially with global and team. That's just one of the many things that can be improved with the app but I wont start ranting lol

Like why do I get the same margin of victory if 2 star pros beat 2 common cards in a doubles matchup vs 2 star pros vs 2 leg pros (or whatever). Seasons need to be overhauled all together. It's terribly flawed.

I feel you, they've taken steps to make it a bit more transparent but still plenty of head scratching and infuriating things in seasons.

Explaining certain things doesn't even get in the way of profits so yeah, hard to understand why they don't elaborate more but again.... they've made strides from when we had no idea what was going on.

And for the first time my team Omega won all rewards from rttc and me and 3 teammates got Paul Pierce
