I like the idea. We don't really want to change the way Rivals Clash works though. It is designed to be a community battle throughout the week. Players like it, so we don't see a need to change a lot about it. However, do we think we should add another game mode? Heck ya! We know there are players that want a more engaging single player experience that can be played on more their own pace and we are working on something like that. It will not be ready for launch of MyNBA2K15, but we're working on a new mode that if it works well, we'll put out in an update after launch.

One thing I would like to see is a small change to Seasons.

This hinges on the format being roughly the same, which imo is fine. However, in the playoffs it would be nice if unplayed games re-energized your team. For example, most of the time I'll win my first round series in 4-5 games but there's always one series that goes to 6-7 games. Just like in real life, we're forced to wait til that series is over. It would be nice if for each one of those games we got back a chunk of energy. ie: if you win in 4 but have to wait out a 7 game series, you're guaranteed to be at full energy when it starts. This is how real life works, why shouldn't it work that way in the app?

I really like the rcovery after resting in the playoffs idea and making tiers of the loyalty rewards proable. If those two suggestions were put in place I know I'd be ecstatic and REALLY looking forward to the new app

Hm, interesting. I noticed you mentioned ladder rewards on your twitter, could you give us some info on that or anything else new? Ya know give us a little teaser like 2K is doing with NBA 2K15 every so often

If they start using our tournament idea, we get to claim royalties for the idea.

Will NBA 2K15 have a "deck level" system just like WWE Supercards ?
Which mean, will the ultra rare cards rewarded the 8th september be like ultra rare cards in Supercards ?

Hi everyone, new to the forum and about a month new to the game. I have recommended the game to a few friends and excited about 2k15. I'm wondering is there going to be a mode or something that we can play against friends? I read all 38 pages and I hope I didn't miss the answer because there was a lot of off topic discussions I chose to skim through. Thanks in advance.

MyNBA2K15 will launch with the same rarities as shown in WWE SuperCard. The Ultra Rare cards you get for Loyalty Rewards equate to the same tier you're seeing in WWE.


The deck level system is also in MyNBA2K15. We may tweak values, etc. for NBA, but it is basically the same system. You'll be able to climb the reward tiers by leveling your cards, proing cards, and getting better cards. Now for Season play the deck level system is there but it has a different play mechanic. It also retains the need for 15 players and 4 support cards like in '14.


Finally, we are introducing a Ladder Reward system for Quick Games. There are guaranteed rewards for a certain number of Quick Games played. There are some very special rewards in the ladder that can only be received there too.

There are some features in MyNBA2K15 that are the same as WWE SuperCard, but we have several new ones too that you haven't seen yet. I'm very excited for everything we're getting in the game.

I hope that the tier system for the new game works better, this way it's just 'completely useless card even for beginners', 'useless card', 'pretty much useless card 2', 'semi-useless card' 'impossible card' and 'impossible card 2'<br />
Drafting would be a little bit more exciting if there were different things to draft. For example stat booster that you can use for a single game in seasons, or rare stat booster for playoffs. Then you could add injuries in seasons, so you could draft healing cards.<br />
It's just annoying seeing the same face of these15-20 commons that you get over and over again.<br />

Adding more tiers would be a start though.<br/>

Thats what I wrote in the other thread.
I heard that there are new features in the new game concerning some of these aspects like a new tier and draft system.
Apart from that I think that this 20% limit for season doesn't work as it was planned. At least I had that experience although it often worked in my favor.

For launch we do not have a direct "play against friends" mode. Playing against friends sounds fun until you have to wait for your turn, or your friend stop responding to you during the game, etc. We think it is very important that you are able to play the game when you want to play and not get slowed down by others or things like an energy system (hence why we let you play all the Quick Games you want).


With that said, we are thinking of some new game modes that allow greater interaction with your friends and chosen opponents. Not sure they will work out and make it in the game, but we are definitely thinking of ways to improve the game in updates.

Anyways, I think you did a good job considering 2k14 is the first companion app you guys made for nba2k. It has a lot of potential. I think you should focus on seasons, adding more factors that decide over the result of the season. So far it's just the stats at the beginning (although they can be improved through grindin during rc or spending money) and dedication (energizing).

How about a trading system. The idea of this game mimicking my past upper deck addiction is very exciting. What better way to interact with friends and forum members than trading.
