I think my major concern is, how much longer will this game last? It kind of sucks to put so much time and effort into an app that will most likely go away once NBA2k16 comes out. (Which is 6 months away, but still)

Re: Update 6 Release Notes - March 18th
Insignificant: (adj) too small or unimportant to be worth consideration.
The math behind tanking:
One season on average, win finals: 104 hours (82 + 22 avg. for playoffs)
Reward: 1 Star season win: 1 star (avg value 4000, conservative estimate) + 400 credits. 4400 credits if sold.
4400/104 hours = 42.31 credits/hour
One season on average, loss in quarterfinals: 92 hours (82 + 10 avg. for tanking quarterfinal, conservative)
Reward: 1 star (avg. value 4000)
4000/92 = 43.48 credits/hour
This is with conservative estimates and a guaranteed win in finals (which isn't guaranteed). Now you should understand why people will tank on purpose...to get more stars, which are clearly of more value to us as players than your insignificant offer of credits. The new update made playoffs IRRELEVANT because your credit rewards are INSIGNIFICANT.
Here is constructive feedback: Add a second same tier card for finals winners, and give credits to semifinals and quarterfinals players as follows:
1st: 2 Top Tier Cards
2nd: 1 Top Tier Card, Half of the Minimum for that Tier Card in Credits
T-3rd: 1 Top Tier Card, One Quarter of the Minimum for that Tier Card in CreditsLast edited by Illmatic1909; 03-19-2015, 01:02 PM.IGN: illmatic1

Every single dollar spent in this game refunded by Apple.
Thanks for the good quick service from Apple.
I suggest you all file claims with Google and Apple if you are as dissatisfied with this cash grab heinous game as I am.Comment

Re: Update 6 Release Notes - March 18th
I feel like it's not just the Star season that got ripped off, but everyone did... Since I am somewhat new, I am in an Ultra Rare season. I looked yesterday at the rewards for winning the finals and it is an Epic card and 65 credits... I understand that you're trying to make the grind up to star season more intense and hard for newer layers, but I feel that 65 is a bit low, especially considering you're replacing an Ultra Rare card.
Some suggestions I have for CatDaddy and NwGameDad:
1) Get rid of the 20 credit posting fee, and lower the 30% tax for the Auction House. Most, if not all, games that have an auction house have about a 10-15%, sometimes 20%, tax. 30% is nearly a third of your profit. I realize that you guys do need to balance out the economy by adding a tax, but 30 is huge, considering that the only way to get credits is through daily vc bonus (The least you can get is 15, most is 90) and seasons (Star is 400 if you win the season, and it goes down from there). Credits are still hard to come by, which leads me to my next point.
2) Fix season rewards. Although I do understand why you changed them, and I completly understand, but what you did should have been done backwards. We should have started with 1 star and 400 credits, and the update now could have included a little bit more. But, now that we can't change it, I feel that you guys should up the rewards. Maybe for each tier, instead of giving 400 credits for whatever, maybe give half of the minimum card for each card you replaced (example: I won my Ultra Rare season. Instead of giving me my epic card and the 65 credits, give me half of what an ultra rare card is worth). People would be a lot happier with that.
Some positive things I would like to say:
1) The RTTC does seem to give a fresh look to the game. Glad you guys included it.
2) I love the new enhancements.
Hope you accept this feedback as constructive criticism and maybe consider them. What you did was not as bad as everyone thinks, but there were some bad decisions. Hope CD and NWGD reads this, thanks.

Re: Update 6 Release Notes - March 18th
Other constructive feedback:
1. Like any economy, remove minimums in AH and keep high buy-it-now's. Let the market set the price. Competition will drive the price to where you want it anyway, especially if the buy-it-nows are so high that people don't have the option to try and avoid the system. This will also allow users to sell UNSELLABLE cards like World B. Free, etc....go check your data and see how many of those are selling without trades.
2. Keep auction times smaller. People are only waiting to the end to bid anyway...why so long? 3 hours, 6 hours, and 12 hours is more than enough time for people to check their phone and not miss anything.
3. Lower the tax. I'm not saying drastically...but 15-20% should be enough to get players to start finding ways to invest in cards and turn around to try and sell them for profit. Prospecting players who don't want to spend a lot of money will find ways to buy low and sell high...making the game more fun for them, and keeping the market more active (which is good for CD).IGN: illmatic1

Re: Update 6 Release Notes - March 18th
You are getting constructive feedback, you just choose to ignore it. Please read below:
Insignificant: (adj) too small or unimportant to be worth consideration.
The math behind tanking:
One season on average, win finals: 104 hours (82 + 22 avg. for playoffs)

T-3rd: 1 Top Tier Card, One Quarter of the Minimum for that Tier Card in Credits
And take into consideration that you there is a high chance that you will have to boost in order to win credits which make the rewards even more insignificant and even lose more than the rewards to win games including the finals.

Update 6 Release Notes - March 18th
I don't respond to many of the posts just because people are venting and there really isn't anything constructive there. I appreciate your post and question and will use it to explain a bit more.
To expand on what I have already said. The Seasons rewards were changed for a few reasons. First, we wanted a way to get free Credits to players that didn't have access to the Daily VC Bonus. We got a lot of feedback from the AH Beta that players wanted free Credits. However, we want players to earn those and not provide a means for the player to abuse the system to stack up thousands of free credits without playing. Seasons present that means of delivery. Seasons are free to begin with so there is nothing that denies any players from playing Season games.
Second, with the launch of the AH we added a new card economy. Since we don't restrict players from playing unlimited Quick Games or Season games we give out millions of cards each day. The card economy is simply too large right now to make the Auction House work right. We had to restrict the cards being pumped into the system. Reducing the Season rewards does that.
Third, with the AH and giving away a lot more free Credits allowing players access to buy things on the AH we had to make sure players didn't just skip from Rare to Star tier right away. With the AH players have a much easier avenue to Pro cards which is a significant means to progress. Given that we give you free Credits it isn't necessary to give you more random chances at cards in order to Pro them. Save your Credits and simply buy the exact card you need directly from the AH. It is a different means to progression than what players are used to, but a very powerful one.
With that said, we are looking at feedback and the data of what players are doing in game now that the changes are in place. Since Seasons take 4-5 days to complete we are not going to take immediate actions, we need the data possibly of a couple weeks to see what is happening in action. If we find things need to change we will change them. No different than the kind of analysis we did from the AH Beta or changes we have made to RC events in the past.
I don't think the sky is falling as some players believe because Season rewards changed. Giving out free Credits is very powerful to the player since they can spend them any way that they want. There are still card rewards going out from Seasons too. You can still win a Season and get a card a tier above you all for free.
Finally, just so people understand, we simply don't have the tech to run two different Season rewards at once. So changing rewards for Seasons already in progress is necessary when we change the rewards. We simply don't have a choice in the manner unless we locked Seasons for a week and didn't let anyone start a new Season during that time to bleed out in progress Seasions. Something I don't think players would want.
Note, my apologies for any weird typos or auto fill errors, I'm on my iPad.
Great message as the terms on the AH was what I already speculated. It would have been better to complete the seasons as the terms of the seasons were altered. I know this won't be resolved with feedback. I would have added a common bench to tank in the Quarter Finals. That would give me 3 cards, my lineup now is way too strong to tank in the Quarter Finals.
Again, I understand that you won't make a knee jerk reaction and I highly respect that you will treat most of the information as noise but I ask you kindly to consider reverting to the previous option. Even the free players would agree. The thematic goal of the game is to get cards. The Finals winner received 3. The credits provide you an opportunity to get a card. The 3 card aligns with the mission of the game.Last edited by BeegDawg; 03-19-2015, 02:07 PM.Comment
