I'm not commenting on the morality of such actions, but I feel fully justified in regards to this cash grab game that ****ed over its user base.Comment

Re: Update 6 Release Notes - March 18th
Would you guys like me to link to BBB and FTC complaint forms?
You'll have to look up your own state consumer advocacy agencies and your state Attorney General.
Please only fill these forms out if you are currently IN a season and if you have actually spent money. Otherwise you don't actually have the grounds to complain.
I have a feeling enough of us can make a legitimate claim of illegal Bait and Switch to make life a bit uncomfortable for the "decision makers" who are behind this.
If you've spent a significant amount of money (Looking at you, top end players), you may want to consider filling a small claims court case. The cost won't be much to you, and you will almost certainly win and be awarded a judgment equal to what you've spent, perhaps with punitive damages depending on your state.
The reason you will almost certainly win is because it will cost CD/2K more money to send a lawyer to defend the case than to just allow you to win by default. You'll have to spend some time badgering them to pay the judgment, but if they drag their feet long enough, you could end up with grounds to sue asking the court to hit them with a large punitive judgment for refusal to pay.
If you've spent significant money on this, you DO have recourse. The law is on your side (at least, for those of us in the U.S.).Comment

Same here, never did this before and really the money don´t bother me. But as you said, fully justified.Comment

Re: Update 6 Release Notes - March 18th
It is just a card game, at least I got my money back. If they ban us, let them do this.
That would be just another sign, why I don´t want to deal with them in the future anymoreComment

Wow.
This is really petty. Also, chances are, these tactics won't actually cost CD. On small amounts, Google usually just pays the money back themselves, and doesn't bother the dev. I bet Apple is similar.
You're basically just fraudulently fleecing Apple/Google out of petty cash, which is a little pathetic, really.
That said, CD should probably consider their practices, if it's leading to this kind of ridiculous response in their user base.
Same with the whole botting issue. Yeah, fight the scripters, sure... but also CD should probably consider why such a large group chooses to work around having to actually play the game, and maybe add things to IMPROVE the situation (a game mode that's actually fun and engaging?).. not *just* punish the offenders.Comment

What you should do is not make another purchase from CD until they change everything. Hit them where it hurts. Clearly, they haven't listened to the feedback that they've been given, but I promise that they will listen if sales are suddenly cut in half.Comment

But if I understood it right, the developer has to pay the 30% fee to Apple, even if they refund me.
That would mean I get 100% back, Apple gets the 30% fee from the developer and the developer gets 0% + has to pay the 30% fee to Apple.Comment
