In this case, brad told us that they are changing reward structure. We don't have specifics, but that's enough info for people to be able to relax.

There will be demand for PO cards. They help in the raise for higher loyalty rewards, and regular PO Pros will help people get better and better rewards in RttC. They'll have value.

Supply will dwindle, but demand shouldn't... and that's a good thing.

Actually, I think this announcement is WORSE than the changing of the season rewards...but maybe that's just me.

Yes, but what I'm saying is...if they are changing the reward structure, why not announce that FIRST, and THEN the loyalty rewards? People will take that a LOT differently than what we're being told now...

Edit: And also, nobody is going to buying PO cards, everyone will want Great cards...so I"m not sure how you think that will resurrect AH.

Because a PO Pro is a much better card and will help you win more cards for free.

A single Greats card won't help you win Seasons, and it offers very limited help for RttC. PO Pros will be a much better help on that.

Buying Greats isn't dumb or anything, but there's at least an equally compelling case to buy normal POs.

They announced it at the same time. That's good enough for me =/

Announced what at the same time? The only announcement is the loyalty rewards with one additional sentence "oh we're changing RC/RTTC rewards". That hardly counts as an announcement.

BTW, 1 Single Great = 5 Points. 1 PO Pro = 3 points. Why would anyone want a PO Pro at this point...?

if they are changing the reward structures to give out more playoff cards supply for those specific playoff cards will be huge. The supply for the other cards (ones not featured) will be smaller.

That's why i said, this is nothing but a promotion for Greats packs. Nothing else at all.

You guys need to relax lol.

They said that rewards structures are changing to accommodate our new needs. How is that not enough for you?

They gave away 10 POs just last week in RttC. You guys forgot that?

                Relax.

Re: Announcing MyNBA2K16 and MyNBA2K15 Loyalty Rewards

I would love to just keep my cards year over year. That is the best loyalty reward that I can think of... If you know your investment (time/money/whatever) is going to last for many years, you are more likely to make the investment. Also seems crazy that an awesome card costs $100.

Also would be nice to give players a credits bump for games played. If you gave 10 credits for each game played, that would allow players to buy a nice card ever 1000 games or so. My reward for reaching 10K games was a damn rare enhancement card. That is just crappy. If you have a player that played 22K games, they are going to be pretty happy because they are turing their hard work into a reward. Hope you guys really look at improving the economics of this game.

                  1000 games x 10 credits = 10,000 credits (or a AH PO card)

Re: Announcing MyNBA2K16 and MyNBA2K15 Loyalty Rewards

Wow! I am only at level 2. I figured a playoff++ RTTC deck would likely be enough for the top rewards. I quit this year because this app required too much of my time, and this is just throws a considerable amount of the years work that I put into the app before the release of the playoff tier out of the window.

The idea here is to start handing out PO tier cards like candy, and even though this devalues the playoff tier for 2k15, it keeps PO tier cards important enough that CD can retain users through the summer. Brilliant on CDs part, but not great to a loyal customer who played the entire basketball season. The playoff tier did not come out until the 2nd round of the playoffs.

All this does is make me less likely to come back next year because I don't feel a lower tier reward adequately awards my season long loyalty and time. Not saying for sure that I wont come back, but I worked very hard this year to achieve what I have and am only rewarded with tier 2 unless I want to stayed married to the app for the rest of the summer. No thanks!

On a side note, last years loyalty rewards were to easy to obtain, and this years loyalty rewards are too difficult. There is never any middle ground with CD.

This is totallly bull****! I spent more than 500 US$ for this season to build my deck, I want that deck that I have right now on 2k16 or I will never ever go play next season.

I have to say that I'm really impressed. Even when I think CD can't surprise me more (I mean in the bad way), they achieve to make it worst.
The season rewards are a joke, the RTTC was fun when you could win with the double match up, after that even if you were in playoff QG tier and star season tier you had no chance in getting better than the useless star card (at least without throwing some credits or buy them..), and after that they made RTTC even more difficult with the pippen one.
At this moment I was already wondering : "what can they do worst ?" and so they come with the last RTTC which was only a way to make players spend more credits and money and to definitely kill the AH.
Now at this point I'm thinking : "No, we're done, it's totally impossible to do worst than that, c'mon there is no way!!".
Well no, they manage the impossible and make a kind of great announcement to say, "Hey guys, you play this game for months, even years for some (like me), but...wait for it .... Yeaaah we have a great surprise for you, you will have the chance to be rewarded for your loyalty by spending even more money, isn't that awesome? "

......I think you deserve a standing ovation lmfao

Because they cost half as much, and help your lineup much more than a single Great. They give less points on the surface, but they help you secure more points in the long run.

They are by no means a dumb investment.

Buying Greats is good also, but doing that will require you to constantly buy more, unless you're lucky enough to get a dupe early.

I also wouldn't be surprised in the LEAST if we saw Greats pool expanded as early as today's RttC announcement.

PO Pros will absolutely have value going forward.

Why aren't RC cards valued more in this structure?

They are harder to earn, and more expensive to buy.
