That isn't a bug. It is simply perception on the player's part. Energy cards have a chance to drop from each slot in an Extras Pack. None of the data supports the claim that once an Energy card drops from a slot all the rest are Energy cards. It's simply random that you're getting Energy in that slot. The slot chances are not tied to each other at all, so it is impossible for one slot to affect another slot's roll.

I've had packs where the first or second card were energies (and all resulting cards being energies due to the bug)

Based on my experience, that's extremely uncommon. Most I've got is 3 energies. I assume you also have had packs where you didn't get any energy at all. By them fixing the bug, it could only mean that you could receive energy on the first pick, and a different card on the following. Because right now, the chance of getting energy in the first picks is pretty low.

I have a feeling it's something simple like declaring a critical variable outside of a loop, then filling / refilling that variable inside of a conditional.

If the bug is fixed then it shouldn't matter if an energy is the first card because it shouldn't carry all the way through if they truly fix it. We shouldn't have to be buying packs hoping that we don't pull an energy card on the 2nd, 3rd or 4th card for fear of it ruining the rear of the pack

100% of the time that I have pulled an energy card, it has always been followed by only energy cards.

Adding my voice to this - I have bought many many extras packs and have never, ever, pulled anything other than energy cards from a pack after pulling an energy card. This is the case whether the card is the first, second, third or fourth card.

That's what I am saying. You'll just have energies spread across the pack instead of stacked on the rear. Which does not necessarily correlate to a lower rate of energy and a higher rate of other extras, which sounds like is what others are expecting.

what problems i forgot?

- often first rttc game doesnt count (lost gn+hs)
- for sure last rttc hs drop rates lowered (or because of only 1 extra slot)
-see season standings on main 1. quarter vefore (its since release!)

I don't even think that energies should be able to be pulled from extras packs if you're already maxed out with them.

I'm betting CD is going to say that they didn't know about that issue either.

This is exactly what he is going to say. I just can't believe this issue has gone on this long without them doing anything. At least he has already responded in this thread, so maybe there is a chance it gets fixed. I would expect a fix along with a lower rate of drop for WCs.

Hence my earlier comment, as I agree. But I'd like a warning first!

Just spent 35k on packs and got 0wc. But I did get a few of these. Energy=rest energy. Very obvious.

I don't really understand how the data wouldn't show this if the data tracks which cards are pulled + which cards are pulled prior.

The majority of energy cards that are pulled will have an energy card pulled prior in the data.

Surely, even taking into account that the first energy card pulled necessarily doesn't have an energy card preceding it, it shouldn't be hard to manipulate the data to either exclude those findings, or get an average % of energy cards pulled prior to an energy card pull.

Alternatively, if the data on each individual pack does exist, just search for every pack where an energy card was the first or second card. Every one of those results will show the following cards being energy.

We have an adequate sample size with no-doubt statistical significance of non-random variation just here on OS alone.

But beyond having to go into SPSS or something and manipulate data, why doesn't the CD dev team just give themselves 1 million credits each and start buying extras packs?

I mean, it's 100% reproducible, as we've all been saying on here for months. They'd notice a pattern straight away.

"The data doesn't support this" seems impossible *if* it is indeed tracked in such detail. Either it exists and it's being incorrectly analysed, or it doesn't exist.
