I see this statement made several times as an attack on Cat Daddy. It simply isn't true. Some bugs are easy to fix and some are not. Sometimes, like in this case, we simply don't know that there is a bug existing until mentioned by players. We made no changes to the amount of Extras slots so don't spend time going to confirm that it is correct every time we tweak something else. Just not how software development works.


If people are experiencing only one Extras slot on the board, then it is a bug. If you get it, please send in a Feedback right away so that we can look up your account and your draft board to see what happened. If we can't repro an issue it is much tougher for us to fix it. We want the game to work as we designed it and Extras are supposed to have 2 spots on the board.

Are you aware of the issue that exists with extra packs and energy cards? Once you pull an energy card from an extra pack, every card in the rest of that pack will be an energy card.

Is this truly a bug or was it intended?

That isn't a bug. It is simply perception on the player's part. Energy cards have a chance to drop from each slot in an Extras Pack. None of the data supports the claim that once an Energy card drops from a slot all the rest are Energy cards. It's simply random that you're getting Energy in that slot. The slot chances are not tied to each other at all, so it is impossible for one slot to affect another slot's roll.

^^^^^ No this is simply not true, 100% of the time an energy card drops the rest are ALWAYS energys 100% of the time. You can easily test this for yourself. Its ridiculous that as the developer of the game you have no idea that this bug exists. Do you even ever play the game yourself? Are you really going to say we are making this up when every single player reports this happening 100% of the time?

100% once you get an energy the rest will always be energy cards. I've opened hundreds of packs and this has always been the case without exception and if you ask others they will say the same.

To echo what others have said, 100% energies follow energy pull from the packs. I thought it was a tier system where you have the highest rated cards open first, as evident by WC always dropping on first card. But when I had WC dropping on the 3rd or 4th card of the pack, I then realized the card order is not tiered, nor should they be.

Also I can vouch that I have seen only 1 extras slot boards at least 5 times during the past week, and I might be one of the first person to bring that up on the board. I start noticing the issue after vet contracts have been nerfed last Monday. Please look into the issue.

Not perception. About 1,000 extra packs of personal experience.

Just go open 10 packs right now. You will see. When an energy card is pulled, the rest will also be energies. It's easy to test and 100% reproducible.

I think you are missing a giant piece of data from every single person on this forum. We have all purchased countless Extra Packs. We are talking thousands. And not ONCE. Not even ONE TIME....Has anyone got anything but an energy card after previously pulling an energy card. I would LOVE to see the data that supports this not being a bug.

Disappointing to see you say this when this bug has been around for a few months now and has been discussed. It is definitely a bug. 100% guarantee that if you get an energy card when opening extra packs there, all the following cards will be energies too. In fact, there was a screenshot floating around a few months ago where someone opened an extras pack and got ALL energies. Please have your development team look into that issue. There's no telling how many wild cards may have gone by the wayside because of this.

In regards to this energy card bug. If you do indeed find this is a bug. And you do want to fix it. And you realize that maybe this affects the WC drop rate. Please...please...please...Give people a heads up if you plan to lower the drop rate of the wildcards through the extra pack.

All that needs done is a simple tweet/tumblr message that says "We fixed a bug that forces us to consider lowering the drop rate. We will lower that rate on so and so date"

I've mentioned this in a few other threads but why not reward teams that get the good agent perk by awarding each player a Star Contract when the Good Agent perk is activated. That way if they don't pull one from the board during the time it's activated that they don't feel completely cheated. Seeing how hard it is for a team to achieve that perk, I feel like that's a fair way to reward them without having to tinker with drop rates. My team and I had the good agent perk last night for 2 hours (with and-1 for both hours) and the whole TEAM pulled 3 star contracts. That's just not acceptable.

100% of the time that I have pulled an energy card, it has always been followed by only energy cards. This includes the approximately ten times that my second card was an energy card. It is truly disappointing to pull four energy cards for 5000 rp.

We made no changes to the amount of Extras slots so don't spend time going to confirm that it is correct every time we tweak something else. Just not how software development works.

But test-driven development does work that way. Exactly that way. It's understood that tweaks to one part of the software can cause bugs in seemingly unrelated parts of said software.

In fact, some would argue that this is exactly how most bugs develop. When working on something directly, you tend to polish it out and remove any bugs that were introduced during development. Thus, when bugs do pop up, they're often from seemingly unrelated sections of code.

Your software should have begun with testing. If it had, then you would run your tests every time, and you would find these bugs before launching bug-ridden updates.

I wouldn't get my hopes on that them fixing the energy issue would produce more WC though. This could mean that you still receive the the same amount of energies in a pack, but you now could get energies in your first card instead of always last ones.

I've had packs where the first or second card were energies (and all resulting cards being energies due to the bug)
