The only thing that makes RTTC easier is you can spend $50 and guarantee you finish it where as RC is a moving target. Both are crazy grinds though without a doubt.HiComment

I've only gotten one RC card this year and it was Steph. Perfect storm of events that weekend helped me do it and that was back when it was like top 1600 (or whatever it was) got the RC card. I was so exhausted after doing that I felt more relieved to get the card than happy.
Personally I feel like the RC card should be stronger than the RTTC card (and this is coming from someone that has finished the last 5 or so RTTCs.

The difference is one has an endpoint. The other is continual for 4 days. If you have the lineup and the cash, you can finish RTTC by late Friday night or early Saturday and still have time to enjoy your weekend. With RC it's so much harder to do that if you're trying to go for the top card.

I disagree and hate to agree with Danan but he hit the nail on the head with a couple reasons, at the same time mistakenly admitted to something he wouldn't want to. You don't need a good deck at all for RC, 5 commons could get you top 25 and you can play RC for free (he says you can play RTTC for free as well but obviously there aren't a lot of people doing that). That being said I've finished 3 RTTC without buying GN and it absolutely sucks.

I believe I posted something here about it but I was in the Army and spent my fair time sleeping on cots waiting for helicopters or not sleeping for 48 hrs here and there but I think giving your body the false hope of sleep only to snatch it away with an alarm every hour before a REM cycle could finish about takes a cake. On Sunday it feels like you went through 12 rounds with a pro boxerHiComment

Yeah I think I'll do that for PO, I have a 4.5 year old and 18 month so I'm exhausted all the time, just have been programmed to work on little/no sleep is allHiComment

I totally agreed on the portion that to finish a RTTC, you need a good deck, not like RC where anyone can finish top 25 if you got time.
But I do hate the fact about season where the strong gets stronger and the "weak" does not stand a chance in most seasons.Comment

Re: MyTeam Mobile Discussion: Part 2 (Please Read the First Post Before Posting)
I honestly feel like even spending for RTTC the grind is still pretty unreal, and still disrupts everyday life to a large extent.
I understand that paying to shorten the total time needed to beat RTTC (say, by granting free points or w/e) makes it much more pay2win, but after having completed RTTC for free several times, as well as paying several times, I've come to the conclusion that it's just still too much.
Not interested anymore.Comment

plotting hit it head on. The strongest cards are usually the ones you pay for. Yes, more people can get the RttC card but that also means a lot of cash flow for CD.
RC has a restricted amount of event cards but any deck is capable of achieving given time, freely earned RP, and endurance.
Two separate events to basically cater to two different playing styles.
The introduction of BTC gives free players who complain about not being able to get stronger cards a "chance" to draft THE strongest cards in the game.
It's hard to argue that CD isn't trying their best to appease the masses when it comes to building a competitive deck.Comment

RTTC can be free to play if you lose sleep
RC is all free to play with RP pretty easy to make if you grind
BT is all free to play with a chance to get the best cards
Pay to play players can only get RS cards via packs which are worse than all three type of cards above, RS cards are also available for free players in season (Yes the chance of foil is not high).
Being a pay player I preferred last year when we could buy cards level with the best tier (POTG).__________________

I actually think the game is much more appealing for free players over pay to play players,

Completely agree Mas. I think the defining factor is patience. A free player definitely has the ability to achieve it all over time. Paying players can just expedite that process.
Last year did have the advantage of credits and RP being one in the same. So if you sell enough cards you could afford a few POTG packs without paying.
If CD introduces the "cash only" tier to end the season, get ready for the pay vs play loyalty battle to rear it's ugly head again.Comment
