Re: Realistic Rosters/Sliders/Coaching Tendencies *Complete Overhaul*

Good news! I got the Suns to play like I want them to. Props to youALREADYknow for assitance. Here are stats from a CPU game I just watched against Boston.

    Nash 32Min, 6Pts, 2Reb, 14Ast 2-8FG, 0-3PT
    Frye 36Min, 25Pts, 6Reb, 2Ast, 1Stl, 2Blk9-14FG, 5-93PT
    Carter 29 Min 20Pts, 6Reb, 1Ast, 1Stl, 9-16FG, 0-1 3PT
    Hill 32 Min 18 Pts, 5 Reb, 1 Ast, 1 Stl, 8-12 FG

    Phoenix Team Stats
    111 Points
    45-82 FG
    54%
    9-26 3PT
    34%
    12-14FT
    85%
    28 Ast
    3 To
    10 Fouls
    42 Rebounds
    5 Off Reb
    5 Stl
    4 Blk
    58 PIP
    32 Bench
    7 2nd Chance
    28 Fast Break
    12 Point of TO

Nash's assist numbers and shooting less than 30 threes is what makes me the happiest about these results. Now, off to finish the remaining 5-6 teams.

slimm i hope it will help you in some way to make 2k12 a beauty... it is a tweaked version of juza's roster combined with the uar project on nlsc board.

I just ran another season sim. Here are the leaders in basic and metric stats with last seasons basic stats and metric stats in parenthesis.

          PPG
          Durant 26 (27.7)
          Bryant 26 (25.3)
          Rose 25 (25)
          Wade 24.5 (25.5)

          Steals Per Game
Ronnie Brewer 2.7 (1.3) Probably need to lower his passing lane tendency
          Paul 2.6 (2.3)
          Rondo 2.3 (2.2)
          Westbrook 2.1 (1.9)

          Per
          Lebron 30.4 (27.7)
          Wade 28.9 (25.7)
          Kobe 28.4 (23.8)
          Paul 27.6 (23.7)
          Rose 25.8 (23.6)

          Eff
          James 25.4 (28.58)
          Wade 24.1 (24.79)
          Nash 24.1 (21.01)
          Paul 24 (23.08)
          Kobe 23 (21.30)

          Rebound %
          Chandler 18.1 (19.6) 10.1RPG (9.3)
          Howard 17.9 (21.9) 11.3RPG (14.1)
          Bogut 17.4 (18.2) 10.2RPG (11.1)
          Randolph 16.9 (20.1) 10.4RPG (12.2)

          Assist %
          Kidd 57.2 (35.4) 8.4APG (8.2)
          Rondo 52.3 (47.1) 11.3APG (11.2)
          Paul 37.3 (45.8) 9.4APG (9.8)
          Harris 37.2 (38.2) 8.1APG (11.4)
          Nash 36.3 (53.1) 10.2APG (11.4)

          Usage %
          Kobe 33.6 (35.03)
          Rose 33 (32.16)
          Westbrook 29.3 (31.53)
          Durant 29.1 (30.64)
          Lou Williams 28.8 (27.72)

Those look pretty believable, and dare I say accurate, to me. Not PERFECTLY in line with last years stats, but pretty good.

              Hey slimm44,

I just downloaded your roster and slider files and tested them in a game against a suns (me blazers). It played really nice, stats where good as well, aside from offensive boards (suns won that category 8-1) but it was only a 6min/qtr game.

I glanced through your sliders as well. Can you tell me what your reason was for setting all rebounding sliders to 100 ?
I suppose that should help especially the players that have low rebounding as individual stat because they have the most room for improvement.
Is there some connection to the hustle slider ? (is zero in your set).

              thanks and keep it up

Glad you enjoyed the roster, although Portland is one of the remaining teams I haven't edited yet.

I had both Rebounding sliders at 100 because I was seeing some different animations but have lowered the Defensive Rebound slider to 50 or 75, I can't remember which.

I lowered the hustle slider to 0 because it helps improve the fast break by not giving the CPU defender an insane speed boost that puts them in position every time. The driving contact slider is at 0 to drastically reduce the bumping animations on drives.

I see. I will definitely try your sliders in my Association. I'm just not sure when to start a new one. Once your rosters are finished or once the PC patch is out, hmmmm ^^

I'm going to wait until REDITOR comes out to start an Association because I'll be able to assign the rookies to their teams.

Are the rookies in the roster, but hidden?

I made all of this year's rookies for 2k11 and was pretty happy with my results. There are a number of rosters bouncing around with nice rookie cyberfaces but junk attributes.

I have a lot of time on my hands at the moment, and was thinking of doing the attributes again, using the cyberfaces. I used a combination of draft express and what I could find for each rookie on Youtube.

I don't know if you'd be interested, but I could send them to you for inclusion in your roster.

Sounds good. Illdefinitely take a look at the rookies.

Last year, there were several unsigned rookies (Landry Fields, Grievous Vasquez off the top) on the disc, but were hidden. Every player on every team had a number that indicated whether they were hidden, classic, on a team, or in the free agent list. All you had to do was find the player you wanted and assign them the correct number, then they were usable. I'm assuming it's the same this year.

The newest file is in post 7 of this thread. If you wait a few days, I'll have all teams completed and will upload a new file. I'm halfway done with the Pistons now, then I have the Raptors, Rockets, Timberwolves, and Wizards to go. Not much longer and all teams will be done.

I know you're going to some websites for the stats you're using, but I wonder if you'd be able to do the same with the legends? wouldnt need to do them all but like the top 50-150(can only fit 158 on a roster), but at least the majors(jordan magic bird, shaq(magic)..... They play pretty much up to their averages but it would be cool if you did. just worried they might over dominate if you didnt.... I dont know.

Wouldnt fault you if you didn't or couldn't though.

I did the classic Magic team but I need to tweak them since some tendency formulas have changed over the past week or so. My master plan is to complete all regular teams, complete the free agents, complete the Classic teams, and complete the Rookies (assuming they're on the disc, which I think they are) after Reditor comes out. If Reditor comes out before I get all classic teams done, I'll do the rookies then the classic teams.

Reditor will allow me to get a team done in roughly 30 minutes. Right now, not including testing, it takes about an hour per team, maybe a little more depending how cooperative my 2.5 year old and my 10 week old are being.

They will be a little more subjective because they didn't always track blocks, assists, and some other stats, but I have a decent enough knowledge of the history of the game to be able to make players at least close to their likeness. Also, when I feel like it's finished and release it for all to use, I will gladly accept feedback that's based on some sort of evidence and not just complete opinion.
