    Re: NBA 2k15 Modding Thread

Although obviously not as simple as before, it's only slightly tedious in comparison (imo). No code required.

    here's a tutorial: http://forums.nba-live.com/viewtopic.php?f=160&t=97596

After messing around with it for a little bit it's pretty easy once you get used to the steps. I'm working on compiling a list for all the cyberface numbers, hopefully I can get some help on NLSC to track down jerseys and logos as well since there are so many but so far I've got the Clippers, Kings, Wizards and Knicks cyberface numbers down.

I tryed my hand at a couple cyberfaces I thought needed beards and a touch up (mind you I haven't done this since 2k11). They are a wip but I'd like to know what you guys think so far:

I think the upcoming patch will have Melo with a beard but good job with the updated player looks.

Great to see gregkwaste's tool updated. Going to have to give this a shot in the next few days.

What can it do now that it couldn't do before? This is my first 2K on PC and I want to get into modding.

You can import files back in now. Previously, you could view files in the preview panel and export them to start modding them but there was no way to get the modded files back into the game.

So does that mean someone can make a different Michael Carter-Williams / Deron Williams face?

Also man, I'm using the guys sweetfx from the OP, but bit seems to only work in certain arena's...? (As in not the Sixers arena lol it also didn't work on the grizzlies arena either). Any insight on that? I think I installed it right, it just seemed to be drag and drop, I also disabled steam overlay like I was supposed to. :0

EDIT:Reinstalled DX and it works in all stadiums now.

It's just texture editing right now, no 3d edits so D-Will is impossible. MCW needed a new hairstyle and beard but instead just got a afro, that's why he's off.

Dang, is this something that people are fairly optimistic will be possible in the future or is there just no way?

Greg said 3D editing was his main goal from the start so I'm optimistic.

Wow man that's exciting the switch from console to PC overall has just been such an enjoyable experience. Glad I made the decision.

I was about to buy NBA 2k for pc then I saw the mod support was rather weak. I haven't been through this thread Is there a reason why?

New, compressed file structure. There are, however, a couple of tools out now that allow access for import/export and lately mods for cyberfaces, jerseys, courts have been coming out with some degree of regularity. It just takes awhile to get things figured, but the modders are finding their way.
