I've noticed if you are on the road it makes it harder to stop, but taking timeouts or pulling off a momentum swinging play does end the cpu's comeback. As an example, I've played a game since the patch as the Blazers in Washington. I got off to a great start and went up 15 in the second quarter. In the third they gradually closed the gap all the way to within 1 point and then I crossed John Wall and got a 3 point play with Damian Lillard which allowed me to pull away for good. There is some comeback logic but if you play to your teams strengths and know how to control tempo it's not op.

Re: NBA 2K15 Patch #3 Available Now For PC
Can anyone tell me a quick way to check if steam automatically downloaded the patch or not? I don't remember seeing Steam downloading anything and there is nothing in the "Downloads" tab. If I try to see the update history it just takes me to the NBA 2k15 news page on Steam, and if I go to client or product updates there's nothing there.
Thank you for your help.Comment

Re: NBA 2K15 Patch #3 Available Now For PC
Got a question for anyone who's played the console game AND can tell the difference between 30 and 60 FPS without a counter - does the console use a "Dynamic VSYNC" effect for between-play scenes like you have an option for on the console? Just wondering because I think I've found a really nice balance with my graphics options and turning that on. Stays a smooth 60 in gameplay and then ratchets down to 30 for the closeups. Reminds me of the way The Show does it which isn't bad at all.
I really like having that option, since between-play scenes are just eye-candy to me.Comment

Re: NBA 2K15 Patch #3 Available Now For PC
There's probably easier ways but you could check either videosettingshelp.txt or VideoSettings.cfg in AppData\Roaming\2K Sports\NBA 2K15 to see if they include new features such as:
HAIRLOD
COLOR_CORRECTION
DEPTH_OF_FIELD
BLOOM
VOLUMETRIC_EFFECTS
which are new to this patch..

Re: NBA 2K15 Patch #3 Available Now For PC
Yeah when i first loaded, it did the DL immediately so the game didn't open up right away. I was looking at the DL box. Not sure if thats everyone's experience but it was mine. I have a 2k icon on my desktop I right click and run as admin so it loads faster , thats how i boot up.Comment

Re: NBA 2K15 Patch #3 Available Now For PC
Yeah, Steam downloads things pretty quietly by default, such that you may not notice unless you actually try to run the program that's being patched. I've had it hog the network traffic on my router and mess up online games on my other systems before, so I usually take a close look at the downloads page (or just disable Steam entirely) when I'm about to play something I don't want getting interrupted.
There's options to confirm you want an update to download/install of course, but I find it more convenient to just let them download automatically.Comment

Re: NBA 2K15 Patch #3 Available Now For PC
I'm still having major problems shooting post patch. With either Real FG% or User Timing setting. Bricks all over (at least I've seen all the rim physics in full...) I consider myself a veteran NBA2k player, a veteran sports videogames player also and I'm really getting upset right now. I'm shooting with the sim sliders around 25-32% !!! I've tried increasing the shooting success sliders but I still have problems.
It would be really great if someone has some "solution" because I'm doing something wrong for sure.
* I'm a sim player and I'm running plays all the time.Comment

A great product sells itself, no "back of the box" features required! (See Fifa...)

Re: NBA 2K15 Patch #3 Available Now For PC
I was having a major problems shooting when i was trying to release at the top of the jump like I had before. Then I started releasing as the player was getting up to the top and it helped. It reminds me a lot now of the free throw mechanic, if I wait until I think I should let go of the stick, it's too late. But, yeah, shooting is really, really hard post patch.Comment

Re: NBA 2K15 Patch #3 Available Now For PC
It was a matter of time to adapt to the new shooting mechanics. I've changed the setting from User Timing to Real FG% though and raised the shooting success sliders to 46-46-47-49 in AllStar/Sim. I'm now shooting at 53% from the field so I guess I have to decrease some shooting values again.
Thanks Brian for your valuable help!
I have also around 20 fouls per game for each team (nearly 38-40 in total) with all the fouls sliders maxed out at 100 except Shooting at 95.
I'm trying to increase TO for cpu. Right now I have the Pass Accuracy, Handling and Hands at 43 but I feel I can go even at 40 to reach a number of 12-16 cpu turnovers per game.
Everything else is nearly perfect. This patch was like a gameplay DLC or an expansion. Good job by 2k indeed.Comment
