On one hand the 2K League no longer uses the PC version so it lost a lot of purpose since that development, but 2K have a hugely popular NBA 2K Online PC game for China, so it seems like they'll be making some sort of PC version at least. It may not be the same release as the consoles though.

Re: Looks like 2K22 on PC won't be the new version
So far it looks like Current Gen has basically the same gameplay as next gen, so we really aren't missing out on much. The only thing I worry about (as it happened with the last 2K I bought, 2K16) is the frequency of patches.
It was weeks and sometimes months before patches drop on PC compared to consoles...Comment

Yeah I played on a friends PS5 this weekend and after that we played on my PC and the gameplay is EXACTLY the same.
Though what I miss is the 2k11 substitution menu that they reintroduced with 2k22 next gen: you see the stamina of a player in the on the fly menu and you can control it with the dpad!Comment

Re: Looks like 2K22 on PC won't be the new version
with all the weird stuff in the next-gen version of the game, the screwed up playcalling, 90+ OVR G-leaguers, etc., I'm happy to have this game.
Maybe those issues will be fixed for next year's game and we'll get the NG version.Comment

Re: Looks like 2K22 on PC won't be the new version
Anybody else on PC having trouble with open shots going in too frequently, especially threes? It's not just CPU, it's both CPU and me. No matter what I put the setting at both teams shoot anywhere from 50-70% from three every game. So the final scores are like 160-150 :|.Comment

Not really. But that depends on your difficulty I guess. On superstar, if you don't green a shot it is not goingin. I am keeping track of open shots for me and my (human) opponents, and non greens are going in at around 15-20 %.Comment

Re: Looks like 2K22 on PC won't be the new version
I use real %, no meters. Also I'm on my own custom(where I adjust from custom, not a default difficulty that becomes custom). But I just played a quarter of a game on default All Star and CPU shot 25% from three. So maybe that's why it was being weird for me. I'm going to try a game on All Star with adjusts rather than my own custom and see what happens.Comment

Yeah you need to start from the base difficulty you wanna have. So Aif you start with All-Star lot of stuff like timing (which the AI uses) or defense difficulty is hardcoded. Start there and adjust sliders to your liking. Maybe the "custom" which you used was some kind of Rookie or Pro based sliderset.Comment

Re: Looks like 2K22 on PC won't be the new version
Question on hardware:
Have 32 gb memory and a RTX 2060 super so I have no issues playing at high or ultra settings. Waiting for a price drop on ‘22 but I want to use more mods as they get developed so is 32gb going to be a good starting point or should I increase to 64? I also play cities skylines with many mods and that’s a RAM hog so 32 is really the minimum size for anyone playing a heavy modded gameplay.
