Is there evidence of real play sets for each team yet?

I like what I see, but want to know if there are real plays and specific sets for each team. Does anyone know? Thanks!

Agreed, I would think it would be a huge selling point. i remember they had a play for Houston called Rocket Fuel, but that is the extent of it. Maybe in the Q&A Steve can answer it.

I've been *hoping* Steve would put up a screen shot of team play books from within a game now he has the BETA...

        Note :Steve, that's a hint...please

Really would like to see at least TWO teams play books so that we can tell if they're actually authentic / different.

I won't be getting LIVE if it's another season of generic "every game is the same" basketball...it's that simple. It got boring years back.

If play books vary and each game is different...as it should be...I'll be getting it day one.

I found this at the NBA Live Series Center. Don't know if it answers the question though

How intelligent is the CPU this year? Will each team play a unique style of basketball resembling their real life counterparts, and will the CPU challenge the human player with smart, realistic strategies and AI?

Teams will play to their strengths. For example the Phoenix Suns will fast break more than the Milwaukee Bucks. The CPU will run offensive sets and take what the defensive gives them. Their decision making process is much quicker this year which will make them tough to beat. Defensively, teams that have players with high awareness will be faster to react to situations with swift rotations making them better team defenses. So teams that are poor defensively will allow for greater success than teams that are tough such as the Detroit Pistons.

Will we have the ability to save team strategies so that we don't have to adjust them every game?

Each team has their default set of team strategies based on their team style of play. You are currently required to change your playbook in order to change your plays. There are 30 plays that you have to choose from and each play is designed to take advantage of your teams personnel.

UHHH sounds like they are saying that EVERY team has an individual playbook, with 30 plays in it...

Erm...yes, it's what makes this game worse than NBA 2K6.

I love some things about LIVE, but if they don't get playsets, or at least SOME movement on offense, it's not worth buying AT ALL.

Ummmmm...the fact that we are all asking if they are in, due to the fact they've never had them before...tends to indicate that people want them.

                      And sh!t yeah we'd notice...

Who doesn't want Detroit and Dallas finally playing different in LIVE?

They moved in live 05, it was just to slow. Also we didn't have diagrams so unless you knew exactly how the play was suppossed to go you wouldn't get the right movement.

Well I have heard it before, and it didnt happen. Does every team have different plays is the key. LA has to have plays based off of the triangle. Does every team have these plays or just LA? If every team has them then what is the use of playing since all of the teams play the same. Its 2005 not 1990 this stuff should be in by now. CV said it best with his Detroit and Dallas comment.

actually, looks like they dont. i mean each team doesnt have individual playbooks, instead, all teams have the same playbooks. it just seems that the teams will use the plays which suit their personnel, like the live producer said. but speaking of "individual and unique playbooks" per team,..not this year i guess

however, looks like they have much better plays this year than last, so changing
the offensive strategy/playsets of the cpu will probably be more effective this year. still a hassle though

i guess we need to get more info/vids on how the teams play with their default playbooks..
btw, im liking the defensive strategies! looks like they added more options per strategy, like different options for full court press, etc
