    I'm done with NBA Live

The game has a lot going for it, but I simply can't stand the rebounding - especially the non-stop offensive rebounds by the cpu (even with the slider on 0).
It just doesn't feel like real basketball when the cpu can get four offensive rebounds in a row.
This game is getting traded in for the competition.

Their was an exact post like this, I agree that the rebounding is out of hand at times, but I actually have no problem with the CPU rebounds, I grab boards myself, and have no problem.

Same here. I'm loving the game especially with Playmaker's sliders. Also, the player lock option is great.

Do you use Playmakers sliders for playing with Playerlock? Are they the best sliders for that kind of play?

Man, give Playmaker's sliders a shot before giving up, you might be pleasantly suprised

Re: I'm done with NBA Live

Last year it was the Shot Blocking that caused so much trouble with gameplay issues. So, I came up with a formula through Global Ratings to lower all players below 50 in shotblocking and the situation became much better.

This year I would advise guy's who are having this problem to go and lower the Offensive Rebounding ratings for all players down 15-20 points. I bet that would help right away. I would use Ben Wallace as a starting point since he's the best Offensive Rebounder in the game. Make those changes then set Offensive rebounding to 0 on the Sliders and BAM your problem would be solved.

Personally, I don't have that issue because I can box out pretty good and grab boards defensively. On Offense I don't even attack the Offensive glass with my controlled player. I just let my other players rebound on their own on Offense and it gives me realistic #'s like 8-10 Offensive boards per game.

So, I would suggest if guy's don't use player lock then atleast take the man you are controlling and get back on defense and allow your AI teammates to try and get offensive rebounds. The game plays very realistic using this strategy or do the Global Edits I suggested.

What is the player lock option?

Does this mean I will play with the same player all game?

                Not sure what this is.

maybe its just my personality and the way I view things. But I look at the longterm.. not 3-4 months down the line, but 1-2. What happens when you start a dynasty and the rookies evolve. There is no way to globally edit the ratings of newly incoming players... So doing global changes, may work shortterm, but is it really worth all the time and energy, when in 2 dynasty years, all your work will be screwed because this rookie is getting 15 ORpg

Yeah it seems that way. However its not all rosey on the other team either. I have the game and there is a huge bug on the gameplay of 2k. It seems that the center of the cpu guards your pg alot during the game. In fact I was playing with the sixers against the sonics and potapenko guarded A.I. all the forth qtr, it really sucked and pissed me off.

Fortunately, they may be coming out with a patch to fix that.

                              Except for the PS2 people.

Anyway, I just figured out to having a great game with Live this year and it's using PM's sliders and suggestions.

I don't control the defender opposite the ball anymore.

I control the center and have him tail the opposing center. I saw the defensive players actually tipping the ball.

Hornets and Bucks were tied at the end of the first quarter.

Amazing game with PM's sliders and suggestions.

                              Thanks PM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
