I love because you have to play as one guy all game and it makes team play more important. Offensively you have to know where you need to go during the playsets and defensively you are held accountable for your mistakes.
If you get the hang of Player Lock it is an oustanding way to play the game. Your AI teammates will play within the offense and make outstanding passes if the play was designed for you. In NBA 2K5 and 2K6, the player won't inbound the ball unless you force them to pass to you. In NBA Live 2004 I think, if you weren't locked as one of the guards, they would just pass it back and forth until the shot clock ran out.Comment
