A 2K Guy asking Where is the LIVE LOVE!

I have to tell you. Am I the only one who thinks that LIVE has a chance to be better than 2K? And this is coming from someone who loves 2K. For me the 360 version of 2K looks almost identical than the XBOX with the exception of the replays. Live on the other hand looks like a NEW product? Come on LIVE FANS!! STEP UP AND SHOW THE LOVE!

I'm a 2K guy as well but I have to admit I have been more impressed by the visuals on the LIVE game. I can't say anything about the gameplay, but from a graphics perspective, I think there is sort of a 3D look to LIVE. I really get that Next-gen feel. I don't get that same feeling from looking at 2K. Again, this is only from watching the vids clips. Could be a moot point once I get my hands on the games..(and the system for that matter).

I'm a 2K guy as well but I have to admit I have been more impressed by the visuals on the LIVE game. I agree with you 100% I think Live nailed the feel of "Next Gen". If it has playable gameplay (from what I hear, they've tried to make it more SIM LIKE) than I think LIVE is the way to go.

I guess you haven't been reading anything I post, I'm a 2k guy who is looking much more forward to LIVE then 2k. I have live ordwered in my TRU bundle and I can't wait.

SIM LIKE? LOL.. yes visually for once they got it right (of course how it plays still remains sto be seen and the camera angles as well)...but SIM Like?? Hmmmm...no franchise or dynasty mode? Play your season and thats it? Hmmm....doesnt sound sim like to me. I guess 2k6 will be my franchise game and Live will be my game I play when buds come over.

2k guy here too......I can't wait for Live. I'll put up with crappier gameplay for now just for the next-gen look and feel. But that won't cut it come '07.

i honestly just could not do such a thing... its your money though .

then again i'm a compact car kind of man.. easy to maintain, reliable, but it looks and feels like crap at times... both get the job done, but live is like a camaro... maintainace galore, but it looks cool... not so much reliable.

Thats funny I feel the same way about the current 2K game.

So, I guess it's a personal opinion. The game looks amazing and hopefully the gameplay will be aswwel..

I agree, I'm a 2k guy who own NBA 2k6 for the xbox, loking at NBA2k 360, there really is not a huge difference, and Close ups don't count, I just can't see myself buying the same game that I own for the xbox just to get the SAME game agin for the 360. Live just looks like a completely redone game...I Think LIVE looks great IMO.

If no patch is never made for the NBA 2K6 XBOX version, I would definitely drop 60 for a prettier and fixed up version. I love the game that much.

I played both also today, your comments are dead on, not knocking 2k6, but it looks the same except excellent graphics, Live looks like a totally new game

No Franchise mode kills it for me, and I'm typically (except for last year when 2k5 was clearly the better game) a Live guy (well, let's say I like it better, haven't really thought a basketball this generation until this past two years has come close to being good). I'll be giving NBA 2k6 a try for my next gen fix this year, although I just played the Xbox version and it's virtually unplayable to me. :-(

I think after the release of the current gen 2K6 & Live 2006, most of the people who really liked and enjoyed Live after Playmakers' Sliders saw what was going on with the threads.

I think they've kind of kept their enjoyment to themselves and not posted and that's kind of carried over to the next gen titles.

That's just my observation though.
