i am in the playoffs. got the 6th seed. and have the heat as my first round opponent.
i took the 1st game 105-99.
wade had 37pts. all on slashing and driving. he dominated but only had 2 rebs and 2assists.
shaq had 15pts, 9rebs and 4assists. he was involved constantly but my double teaming put him out of the offense a bit. still he found his perimiter players and made me pay for constant doubles.
my pg. [me]. had 17pts, 12assists and 10rebounds. 6 in the final seconds on ft's to close the game.
game 2 was close and it was looking like i could take 2 games on the road but the heat exploded in the 4th. outscoring me 36-19 and winning comfortably.
wade had 22pts in foul trouble and shaq had 20pts and 6rebs. wade again did nothing else but score though. williams shot badly 4/14 but played well in the 4th and had 9assists. the heat got more help from their roleplayers in game 2. but if it wasnt for my 4th quarter meltdown........

shaq had a good game offensively but is yet to dominate the paint in all areas. he finished with 23pts 11/14fgs and 7rebs.
i doubled wade every time he touched the ball and he never found his groove. he finished with a quiet 20pts, 4rebs and 5assists.
posey took more shots with wades attention but failed to deliver going 7-18, 2-9 3's. and jason williams was great guns in the 1st half but did nothing in the 2nd finishing with 14pts. haslem has been injured all series so walker has started in his place at pf and is averaging only 7.8ppg but is getting his share of rebounds and is being looked at. in fact he hit a clutch j in the last minute to make it a 2pt ball game. but i closed the game out with ft shooting.
so my created team of bobcats are up 2-1 against the heat.
shaq needs to take control of the paint. my team has a good center who has neutralised him somewhat but thats the heats key. shaq needs to get more than 7rebs a game.

i have human reb sliders at lowest. cpus at highest.
i have cpu offreb at 50 [will put it up]def at 100.
human off reb is 0. def rebound is 30.

big game next. i want to take a 3-1 lead. going to continue doubling wade.

the heat took game 4. 103-100.
my created bobcats team rallied from 16 back in the 4th but my pg [who is having an awesome series] missed a 3 to tie. great comeback though.
it was 50-50 at half time and then the heat exploded in the 3rd. setting up my frantic 4th q rally which just fell short.
williams got mvp???? 14pts, 6rebs and 11 assists. he shot 6/18.
wade had 30pts.
and shaq was in foul trouble and ended with 16 and 9.
mourning filled in well for shaqs foul problems and ended with 11 and 6. on 5/11fgs. my team could not hit a 3. 2/18.

so now its 2/2 and back to the heats advantage. damn.

the heat made a rally in the 4th but could get no closer than 7pts.
a comfortable win for my team. my pg continues to dominated. although i did glory hog towards the end as the game was never in doubt. he ended with 17pts, 13rebs and 19assists.
shaq again was in foul trouble. he finished with 14pts and 8rebs.
wade had 24pts.
williams played crap. hogged too much. shot a terrible %.
walker took 1 shot all game.
basically the heat played badly.
haslem is back for the next game though. so things might change now. as walker should get more options on offense.
thats what really annoys me about live06[360]. even though the edits have improved the gameplay and AI tendencies massively. stupid ea have programmed the game by position. so pf's and C's regardless of attribute skills and playbooks, will be utilised the same way. in the block. i bet walkers shot attempts jump 150% now he is an sf next game.
why couldnt they make them play to their attributes instead of what position they play. stupid ea.

i am probably going to get 2k6. now its out in australia.

Some guy's you have to play at SF like Walker and Dirk which isn't unrealistic because that's essentially their role on offense anyways.

There are only a few plays that's I've noticed at PF they will take outside shots if you leave them space sometimes and that's Double High-5 and I believe one of the UTAH plays.

I also noticed that I set Pressure defense to low on Dirk when testing and when he was outside he shot more because his man was playing off of him more. But this was during Player Lock testing on Super Star Level. The AI is much smarter on that level.

As for 2K6 I can't speak of that game because I've never played it more than 2-3 times by rental. I just enjoyed the atmosphere and arena's in Live much better after seeing the two games on 360. I guess if i had played it more I could have overlooked somethings but I'm happy with how Live plays after breaking it down now.

Hopefully next year I'll get both games but I'm content with only one right now.

I just had my best game ever using my late 80's Bullets team against the 80's Bucks the lineups were

Bullets
C- Mel Turpin
PF- Mark Alarie
SF- Bernard King
SG- Jeff Malone
PG- Darrell Walker

Bucks
C- Bob Lanier
PF- Marques Johnson
SF- Junior Bridgeman
SG- Sidney Moncrief
PG- Tiny Archibald
6th- Dave Cowens

Bernard King played 34 minutes and scored 107 points (he shot 58% and was 20/22 from the line) he totally destroyed the Bucks and single handedly fouled out Bridgeman and almost fouled out Moncrief and Cowens. I never intended to gun for Wilt's record but after King's 1st 5 shots i was just feeling it with him and making shots i couldnt make with him before, King scored the Bullets 1st 30 points. I ended up winning 121-111 and i doubt i'll ever come within a mile of doing this ever again. I broke 100 with about 2 1/2 minutes to go and picked up the rest on free throws because the Bucks were intentionally fouling.

beat the heat in 6 games. in 0t.
took over in the overtime period. good game. shaq had 16pts and 9rebs. he didnt have 1 game all series where he got double figure rebounds.
thats my problem with the game now. i outrebound the cpu by double digits easily every game. i outrebounded the heat. 55-36. also i have noticed the cpu doesnt play good transition d.
i am going to move up to superstar for the next round. the cpu plays far superior on that level.

lost to the cavs on superstar in my 2nd round playoffs by 1pt.
i was down all game. by as much as 18pts. but rallied in the 4th and had the chance to tie. but missed a 3. my pf got a tip in to make it 92-91 but i couldnt foul and the clock ran out.
lebron dominated with 36pts and 13rebs. had no assists though.
larry hughes was quiet all game but came alive in the 4th. finished with 14pts and 5assists. damon jones was a difference maker off the bench with 17pts 4/11 3's.
ilguaskas only had 2pts on 1/2fgs. he only played 15mins cause of foul trouble. man it felt like he did more than that. he was involved a lot more than the stats indicate.
the fouls were fine. on superstar. u have to defend yourself. u cant let the cpu do it as they wont challenge.
i shot 19-39fts the cpu shot 17-24. so the foul discrepency wasnt that bad. u have to challenge yourself to foul the cpu.

man if only the cpu played how like 2k6's A.I. live would be a near perfect game. thats all that is missing from it. smart and realistic CPU gameplay. everything on the users side of the gameplay is awesome.

it was another rally. was down early but chippped away at the lead which set up a dramatic final play.
with the game tied at 91. i set a play [motion 4 ithink]. where my pg held the ball on the top and waited for my sf to come from the weak side through baseline and up to the perimiter on the side for the catch and shoot. it worked perfectly as my sf drained a 3 over lebron for the win.
lebron dominated again with 33pts but didnt do much else.
ilgauskas had 14pts and 11rebs. 6/14fgs.
and marshall was a factor off the bench with 11pts.

another issue with this game is the plays.... the players go through the play motions in slow motion. where are the quick cuts and off ball movement. oh well.
i am still having a good time with this game. thought it would be the end of it now ihave 2k6 but that game has dissapointed me somewhat.

the cavs took game 3 and home crt advantage back off me.
this time it was their turn to take over in the 4th.
i am playing on superstar and this game the fouls were not as consistent as the previous 2. but that is because my concentration levels were not as high. i didnt really play the game the way u are meant to on superstar. and that is to challenge shots yourself. they still took 17fts to my 24 though.
it was lebron again. with 28pts and 4rebs and 3assists. but eric snow was the difference. he had 19pts and 11assists. again this is due to my lack of effort and concentration. theere is no way snow shoudl get those stats in a playoff game.

i suppose thats the reason the plays are run in slowmo.???
i will put it up to 55 for game 4 and see how it goes. i am concerned the scores will go up too high and the game will become to fastpaced etc....

i feel i have to play on superstar now as allstar was becoming too easy to abuse the transition game as the cpu doesnt get back with any gutso. and i could fastbreak all day long.
besides the cpu plays a lot better on superstar. the fouls are annoying but if u mark up yourself the fouls become decent.
