Too me ESPN announcers are the worst NBA announcers out there plain and simple.

You want to do it for Madden and NCAA Football by all means go ahead but for basketball it's a bad move by EA because those guy's all suck Tolbert, Walton, Breen, Brown and who ever calls their games.
They could possibly do what NFL 2k5 did by having ESPN crew (ie Suzy Kolbert and Chris Berman,) but keep the same announcers ("Dan Stevens" and "Peter O'keefe")

at least they're thinking of new ways to put things in the nex gen games
But seriously, the way they are integrating it into the game makes no sense. Like someone said before, if it was tony and wilbon talking about something that happened in [/b]your[/b] game or something then it would be cool but if I wanted to watch an episode of pti I would just turn to espn.

If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)

Exactly. Things like this make me just ask myself, wtf were you thinking EA? Its like when it comes to basketball and football, EA does everything to not make the game appear like a television broadcast, lol.

                I don't like it.

I want in-game stuff that has to do with me.

Also, I TiVo games and it would suck for me to see the score of a game that I recorded.

Looks cheesy if this is the final product.

I don't want REAL LIFE news.

I want news about my current franchise/dynasty incorporated into the game.

What 2K did with the NFL2K5 halftime show was ingenious. That's what I want.

If I want to know current things, I'll turn on my TV.

I'll be honest and admit that I kind of jumped the gun on that presentation thing. I fell into the trap of liking the whistles. I almost feel like an airhead. Amazing how these boards really bring into perspective those minute things that would seem ingenious. Of course, I'm still waiting to see what else is incorporated. I'd hate to play a game on my franchise only to the REAL Chicago Bulls in a triple OT and I taped it. That would suck balls hard.......

                        Sure would.

Its a nice feature and all but it really has nothing to do with gaming therefore is kind of pointless. I would love to be playing a game and have a ticker pop out saying something like, breaking news, a division rival of mine just traded for a star player. Top plays of the week , month, whatever. Things along those standards.

Or even a realistic type of ticker where a game is being simulated alongside mines. They could even show some scenes at halftime of the various games that ended or anything like that. Would be fantastic. Doesn't even have to be every night. Just during the times when important rivalries are brewing. I'd definitely be into that. It would be tight to see Kobe going for a 50 point game against the Mavs or Jason Kidd getting another triple double on the Knicks or something like that. Would be tight. Maybe I should go post this in the wishlist thread for both games.......

I mentioned this earlier in the thread.

I hate the ESPN thing being incorporated simply because it will bring along the ESPN announcers aswell. That in itself is a real turn off for me regarding Live and I'm a huge Live fan. I just can't stand the ESPN B-Ball announcers especially after you hear Albert and Kerr.

If they sign the ESPn clowns I'll be playing my games with only the arena announcer and back ground stadium music all the time.
