Re: LIVE '07 NEXT GEN Preview
"The Outlook:
This is a can't-miss year for NBA Live. They are bringing back NBA All-Star Weekend and the Dynasty Mode; both important features that should attract players back from its rival, the NBA 2k series. Everything is shaping up to create a solid game for the 2006-2007 NBA season. Now if they could only buy the license to introduce the NBA Development League into Live, I would be one happy gamer. "
Back from its rival? live still outsold 2k last year. i doubt bringing back old features would change anything. itll just give live more sales imo -
Re: LIVE '07 NEXT GEN Preview
The dynasty mode also has a player rotation screen that I now prefer over the regular depth chart. You can determine a particular percentage of how much playing time each player participates for the five positions.
As for the gameplay, the team has thrown out the '94 system and introduced all new computer A.I.
Lets hope new means better.Jordan Mychal Lemos

Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.
Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.Comment

That player rotation concept is great. Neither game has ever been able to get player substitutions right maybe this will do the trick.Comment

The second objective was to nail the in-depth analysis for every game played. There are over 25,000 spoken lines of dialogue, so you can see how much they needed to go into this department. With the analysis, they wanted the comeback performances of superstars to be spotlighted within the commentary.Comment

They better get that crappy player movemnet together. Last year it was UGLY. I saw video clips from Live 2007 and the backwards movement still looks bad IMO. I'll stick with NBA 2K7. Live has a lot of catching up to do. I hope they prove me wrong this year.

You know we always have to say IF with these people. But, IF this is true, it could be a good experience. Logic that always refers back to an earlier part of the game is one of the best features of sports games.
Agreed here. Fresh commentary and especially the kind that highlights what should be stressed has been lacking in these games.
I love the idea of setting minutes for players at positions. Now that is innovative and welcomed as well.
Whats up with the 94 gameplay engine though? Thats just wrong, although it would explain why EA seemed so lazy about their gameComment
