The bad news: In playing a version of Live marked 90% complete, the gameplay was terribly disappointing. The ball physics are all over the place, even the most simple shots appear awkward, and to be honest, the game seems years behind the build of NBA 2K7 that we already have in the office.

I must say that I am very excited about both games this year. Both games are going to have points that are better than the other. I hope we see some gameplay footage soon.
I think Live is a deeper and better looking game than 2K. On the other hand, 2K seems to have a lot better and more realistic gameplay than Live. I also read that Live has over 100 signature shots. This although not as deep as 2K, is a lot more than I expected. This will mean about 3 per team. Hopefully they will be well executed.
Something that really needs to be worked on in both games is Created Player development in Dynasty and Association Mode. If either game would add a potential rating this would help tremendously. Also, Live really needs to give us the ability to give our created players different jump-shots. Since we will have a lot of sig shots this year we should be able to pick one of them as our created players shot. 2K has already confirmed that you can do this so I hope it is in Live this year, also.PSN: rose2kobe24Comment

Too many contradicting opinions.
The gamers that went to the EA studio that played the game say it's amazing whilst IGN are saying it's not. Who knows what to believe at the moment.
We need to see some gameplay vids for ourselves with someone half decent playing it before anyone can make the slightest assumption about either game.Comment
