I really dont' think the game can play terrible given the fact that there's almost no way it got worse than the 06 version. They've been working on this game for over a year and it seems like a pretty ridiculous statement to make saying the gameplay is terribly disappointing. I see no way that EA has added all these new gameplay and animation-based features into the game and its somehow worse than last year's iteration.

I couldn't tell because everyone's so focused on what the guy wrote.

Good:
Graphics. That threw out the comparison to 06 because the players were extremely distinguishable. From Juwan Howard to Shane Battier. It looked really crisped which you wouldn't figure after they got rid of all the gloss from 06.

To be honest, that was about it for me.

Bad:
I didn't like how the players seemed to run/cut in that crouch/leaning forward/half ******** stance they had. Looks extremely weird and stiff.

Gameplay was too slow.

Didn't see to be too much excitement in the crowd.

All in all, i wasn't wowed by the footage (first I've seen). In a perfect world, I'd take Live's player models and put them in 2K7.

1 minute footage is a joke in itself. I need more gameplay footage to really judge it.

The first thing that came to mind was IGN's 2K5 footage of Shaq unable to back down a PG...then spinning out of it to do a crossover and a fadeaway J.

I don't know what he was attempting to do in the TMac video.

And I don't know what was the purpose of that gameplay video. It was almost pointless.

I wonder if Steve will get copies of both games this year.

I wish I could but IGN and Jon Robinson love EA. So if they say something is bad then there is a real problem.

Not only Robinson, but some EA EMPLOYEES! think it's garbage. I haven't played it, so I don't know. One in particular, I don't know how, got his hands on NBA2K7 and said, and I quote: "We're [EA] in trouble".

Too many contradicting opinions.

The gamers that went to the EA studio that played the game say it's amazing whilst IGN are saying it's not. Who knows what to believe at the moment.

We need to see some gameplay vids for ourselves with someone half decent playing it before anyone can make the slightest assumption about either game.

OK. Newsflash. Do you think giddy fanboys ever so grateful to get the chance to go play a game before it comes out are going to say the game sucks?! You don't think they have EA employees who are giving them a the red carpet treatment, isn't in their ear giving an excuse for every issue that comes up? Come on man!

You're talking IGN!!! EA BIGGEST supporter in the media. As my above post says, some HAPPY-TO-BE-EA employees! say the same thing. Come on.

Nevermind the foot planting because he seemed like he was too confused to understand that he was supposed to run around without looking discombobulated.

gameplay aside...this is speaking strictly graphics....wow they are nice. I dont know about the gameplay but at least the players dont slide

Im not blaming EA, Im clowning the moron who was playing the game. Its just that.... if you can ever make a game look worse than what it is, well... he succeeded.

The courts looked absolutely beautiful though
