Sorry - I found that quote to be funny. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Although at some point it becomes a stretch to say something is what it isn't. I guess I could understand not trusting reviews OR videos - but both? What criteria can you go by then - other than something having the EA logo on it, that is. Imo companies should feel the need to market to us, but I find it funny how we can marginalize ourselves a lot of the time

What is crazy to me is how some people are so impressed with the ESPN integration. What good is this for the game? I just don't see what's appealing about having this info in the game. It's called ESPN.com. That's all I need. What's the point of putting this in video games? It just baffles me.

I have to commend the people still kicking around the "wait-and-see" motto... bravo. Brave, even. Because I've seen all I need to see in the videos... so unless Live 07 360 comes with a 60-dollar rebate, I won't be spending one dime on it at release. Rented or otherwise.

The only thing I can do is wish the Live fans in here luck....

LOL...this is really a ridiculous statement. You guys act as if there is a law saying you can only buy one game. I'll buy Live and if it sucks I'll sell it on Ebay and take a 5-10 dollar loss. Shoot, if you cant afford to risk losing 5 dollars then you shouldnt be buying video games anyway.

People are free to buy either game or both games if they cant afford it. I dont see anything "brave" about buying Live. If its a good game, then I'll keep it. If it sucks, I'll sell it. No real loss to me either way.

Here is my expectation: This is the only game with a season mode that lets you control every team so that makes it a potential buy for me. Also, since Playmakers has already stated that he is buying and will tweak the game it makes it much more attractive to me.

Last year the game looked like crap in videos and played like crap out of the box. It sucked until Playmakers made his rosters, sliders and playbook tweaks. Then it was a solid game and it was the 360 NBA game that I played the most.

If 2K would have been able to get that feature in the game we wouldnt even be having this convo because I would just buy 2k7 but it doesnt so I'm going to give Live a shot. You are right though that its is really strange that a week before release we have seen maybe 5 min (if that) of footage.

Still my issue is with the people who act like its blasphemy if you buy this game. Live has a few features that the other game doesnt have and some of those features are important enough to consider buying Live. I havent heard one person here say they arent going to buy 2k7....most here are buying both.

where are you getting that from? i have seen developer interviews, two page magazine ads, tons of video and even a daily (weekly?) blog from the lead producers outlining the features and progress. they held an nba rookie day live 07 tournament recently on top of it all. live news and information is all over the place...

For next gen? Ive only seen the 8 30 sec IGN videos and the one gamespot interview.

I posted over in the 2K forums basically about the same situation here. I don't know what EA will be releasing to us with Live 07. But I do think some of the forum members are really starting to act as if it's a crime if anyone purchases this game. I purchased both games last year and the only reason why I'm getting both games this year is because of playmakers. If he wasn't going to be working on NBA Live 07 then I most likely wouldn't even waiste my time or money buying the game. But based on what he did for Live 06 and the amount of added ratings and sliders EA is putting in this years game I have a positive feeling that playmakers will eventually make this game worth the purhase for me again. I'm guessing with the amount of ratings that are being included in this game he will most likely tweak the game to play totally different from what EA ships to us.

well, what else would you like to see? the new egm has a 2 page ad, the developer blog is on ign, and i've seen just as much (or as little) info as far as videos for 2k7 as for live (except for the demo now, of course)

there are live trailers on just about every 360 sports game from ea, most recently nhl 07 released this week...
