Any news on a demo?

I know they will eventually come out with one, but any time-table yet? Hopefully soon and before Live comes out too.

WHY?

Is that because you have the game already and have seen everything that the game has to offer?

Or is it because the in-complete build videos you saw tells everything exactly how it is already?

I don't know why I bother to post half the time but when I see guy's acting as if they have played the game already or got word of confirmation from EA that the game is 100% complete it just irates me.

Ok you saw a video of the game and the video isn't up to your standards. That's fine and dandy but why act like a video showing and unfinished product is 100% guranteed to be how the finished product will be.

I think in away as much as some people want to see Live put out a good game there are some who I really believe is hoping for a bad product to be released. NOt sure what the agenda is but I truly believe you have guy's that actually would love to see the game come out terrible.

LOL! Maybe that is their marketing plan. Not show it at all, and hope it just sells purely because of the name.

I assume that the demo, if it comes out, will be after the release date like Madden. Lets face it, of the gameplay we've seen, its not very good, and we've got very little media because of it. EA probably thinks (and is probably right), that they should just try to get sales because of the name, cuz it doesn't look like people are gonna play the game and say, "Man i NEED this game."

Naw I haven't really followed 07 much. I really don't get into the demos and videos and stuff because half the time what you see isn't what you really get.

I just waite until the actual games are released. Now day's you have too many guy's that spend too much dissecting these games before they are released. I just find it a waiste of time and would rather play games that are already out then check on dailey updates of a game that hasn't been released. It's sad but true you have people who start breaking down games 1-2 months before they are released then they find out on release day that the game was either better than they tought or worse than they thought simply because they were going off of something that they have no idea what is complete and what's not.

I think Live releases on the 28th not sure but I'll judge the game only at that time. I never download any demos just to play some small portion of game I can't adjust to see what effects certain things will have to gameplay.

You must only play games you're familiar with then. If you don't go by demos or videos and just wait until the game is released, then I don't see what dictates your purchases. You're commenting about people questioning EA's tactics with this year's Live and they SHOULD be questioned - this is the first year I can remember any title being quieted so much by it's competitor. Or at least that's how it seems.

This game releases in a little more than a week and there hasn't been any extended gameplay video or extensive hands-on previews anywhere. Madden, NHL07, Arena Football, NFL Head Coach... They all had media released prior to the game's release. Live is the exception. People are just calling it as it is - it's not like people are purposely picking on Live for the fun of it. I agree with you to a degree - you can't believe everything you read, or everything you see. But it's pretty apparent the only reason EA hasn't released any info is because of 2K7. C'mon - EA is king of tooting their own horn; king of the hype video. They've done neither with Live.

PM your my bud, but come dude this game looks like it's going to bomb, there has been nothing at all on Live latley at all, no vids no new screens, I think there's a reason for that...

That's funny because I could have sworn he made some great sliders for MLB 06 The Show and that had nothing to do with EA at all.

If the guy prefers to wiate until the games are released why is that such a problem to so many people on these forums?

So he doesn't bother with demos or videos when did that become a crime when deciding what games to get. Some of you guy's are really starting to act real childish on these forums. Who cares if the guy wants to play NBA Live without any feedback from video's or previews or what ever that's his choice unless it all of a sudden became mandatory for guy's to choose games only based on word of others or videos.

I don't know either man. It's like guy's are trying to make feel the way they feel about the game or something. The last dude posted I only paly games that I'm familiar with and just had to laugh at that statement. I play games that I enjoy that's the bottom line. If it happens to be SCEA, EA or 2K I could care less I'm a sports junkie 1st and foremost and if I like the games I'll play them if I don't then I won't plain and simple. But just because I enjoy a basketball that most other people don't enjoy doesn't mean it's wrong for me. It's my money and if someone else feels like they won't spend the $60 dollars on the product then that's their own personal decision. How I spend my money should have no effect what so ever on the next guy.

But your right this forum is becoming more and more like it's a crime or law being broken if 2-3 people decide to buy NBA Live. Ok so you don't like what you saw why should that influence me not to get the game. The more people focus on what's best for them and not others the better some of these forums will be. I don't go over to NBA2K's forums and speak of the game because if I'm not getting the product why should I have an opinion of it. Yet on these forums I've seen some of the same posters who already stated they aren't getting the game already but they still feel the need to remind someone each and every day that EA isn't getting their money or that EA sucks. I mean seriously if you've already committed to not getting the game what's the purpose of speaking of it since you won't be owning it.

That's why I think some people have personal agendas or something. If a store never has anything I like I'm not going to show up every day at the same store looking for something. Unless of course I've trying to go out my way to get other customers of that store to stop shopping there like me.

C'mon guys and girls! Don't be so nieve! I saw the NBA 2k videos...they looked great! I played the demo...it was just as great! On the other hand, Live, for the first time I have ever seen, is not doing a lot of promos at all because IMO the videos, I, and everyone else in this forum has seen are very bad!!! There is no secret or hidden message or even a brilliant strategy. Live will be slightly better than last year, but still be a horrible game. I am sorry, I do not believe in fanboyism because it is truly gay. I go with the game that looks and plays the best and Live simply is not close on either. They are so far apart, it is actually became a funny thing between me and friends when they release new videos.

On screenshots, the game looks great, but animations are the worst on next-gen, by far! Please, just save your money and rent it first. Don't fall into the trap of providing this series with undeserved purchases. If it turns out to be a great game, then buy it and spend more than what EA expected. I am all for that. Just use caution on this game. A good sales drp is what they need in order to get back to the drawing board.

Even if you hate VC, just rent both before you buy a disaster like last year. I believe if EA is confident in their game, they will release a demo before release to show it off just like VC. If you haven't downloaded NBA2k7 from Marketplace, try it out. You are not feeding VC money, so you can make a bright decision just based on 4 minutes of demo time. It is definitely worth it!

This topic is a fine example of why there should be a demo. NHL 07 makes me have faith in the game because I believe it's from the same dev team.
