As I said before to someone else - it's their perogative to do what they want. We all have our own unique tastes. I'm probably one of the few people that actually liked the Enter the Matrix game. But I can also understand why people would find the game horrible - I wouldn't be sitting here arguing that the only way to make a fair observation of the game was to actually purchase it. It's not a problem if he wants to wait. But to act like people are foolish for bashing EA when they've put out next to no information on a game that releases in a little more than a week is ridiculous.

If anything I'd think he should be the most disappointed of all, given how hard he works/has worked to make the game tolerable. Whoever wants to wait on the game, that's cool. But to more or less say these companies don't need to show us anything doesn't make sense. Imo it's being said just to justify EA's actions. Well, their inaction.

Based on what I just read about the game I have to agree with playmakers that maybe people should just waite before proclaiming the game to be good or bad. I just read a review of the game that provides a totally different opinion of the game from what has been described here. If the game is the way people are making it out to be then maybe a guy like playmakers should consider purchasing another title. But if for some chance the game is anything like the review I read then there are going to be more people that were dead wrong then there will be that was right since he's probably the only one who has repeatedly stated waite until the game is released to make a true judgement. Right now it appears only playmakers will eat crow if the game is terrible. But if it's a good game I don't know if there is enough crow to even go around.

Re: Any news on a demo?

The thing is about this though. NBA 2k7 has silenced Live this year it seems.

The thing is, if EA saw it had a advantage in a department, they would advertise on it. I mean they added signature shots also, they have player styles too...but what 2k7 does makes Live look...uh bad.

What 2k7 has is Signature STYLE. This includes how a player moves, shoots, passes, and even his characteristics. I mean the vids of Lebron biting his fingertips, Nash licking his hands, Rip adjusting his mask, Shaq after a big dunk do his thing that he does...WOW. On the Demo earlier I witnessed it myself, not only does it feel completely different from playing as Dwade and Terry (without the Live way, pressing shoulder buttons.) but as Wade I blew past Harris, and Damiper was in the way and he dunkes on him, I cried because the demo has no replay

But after the dunk Dwade pumps his fist, and goes to the freestyle line smiling.

I am not saying Live will be a bad game, it will probably be pretty good. But I am telling you, Madden07 didn't deliver next gen wise. It will as soon as EA shifts focus to Next Gen. They added runner style, and have some characteristics down.

But NBA2k7...wow. I can't explain the experience, I tried telling a friend and he was like "What?" I just told him "Come by my house and play it, that is the best explanation I can give."

But any ways, I am not trying to promote 2k7 here(I buy both games every year, in fact I buy like every bball game that comes out.) but 2k has set the bar really high.

You know what, I can't say enough good things about the game so I will end it right here.

It's not a matter of him eating crow. if he was able to get last year's game to be playable to him and other people, then I doubt this year's game will be worse. I'm sure it'll be what he wants. But that's not the point. You say there's misinformation being spread on the site - who's fault is that? Again, the game releases in a WEEK. This is showing patience to the umpteenth degree. EA has put out a few crappy vids and a bunch of blogged information proclaiming how great the game is. The game last year was at best disappointing to most. It's catering to the arcade crowd for the past few years is widely accepted. So somehow given this completely irregular behavior on a somewhat significant release, EA deserves a wait and see attitude (wait until the game RELEASES lol!). EA has been curiously quiet - likely because they benefit more from showing nothing than if they do. 2K has pretty much shown it's hand, while EA keeps bluffing.

Imo it just shows the lengths some will go in the name of protecting "their" game. We all do it to some degree, but this is pretty unprecedented. If the roles were reversed and it was Live putting out all this information, I'm sure you'd see the same people preaching for patience making overly joyous comments about how great the game is. Only have to go back to Madden 360's pre-release better days. Videos, previews, and demos are only important when they're favorable.

If they release the demo before the release and it is as bad as it looks, they will not sell as well. Of course there are nieve people who will just buy the game because they are "loyal" (lol), but sales will definitely drop if people play a crappy game before it is released. Just from the videos and the early previews I have seen, it is an easy rental and a for sure not buy unless I play a demo that proves otherwise. Just make good sense!

It sure seems like it, and its a strategy that works. There are people that dont buy based on the assumption that it ( a product) will suck or do because they think it will rock. BUT shroud it in mystery and some people give in and buy it, like me...The 2k7 demo looked MUCH better playing it than all the videos i watched. As beatiful of a game Live 07 looks to be, I hope and pray it will play well. EA needs this.

Yeah, one I can do by myself. Because I like to just play around in it and stuff.
