Clearly, I'm only here to impress you. I guess some people are intimidated by those who do not speak 'online' lingo and sway with the crowd.

What 'online' lingo did I use, exactly?
      Thanks for the advice.

        Re: OS, spill the beans

        Ok bonzo, I will play.

Why do EA fans confront any criticism with 4th grade 'fanboy' comments?
Because generally, when people come into a forum, with no posts, making outrageous claims, or make veiled comments that demean EA, 9.9 times out of 10, that person is a biased EA ***** or 2K fanboy, or both. Get slapped 50 times in a row and you start to suspect a hand is coming back at you anytime you see one.

There are some, like me, who have been burned by EA in the past and rely on reviews from someone other than the snotty 12 year old in most gaming forums for information about a game. Last year, there were tons of idiots running around talking about how Live 06 was the greatest thing since sliced bread. Guess what? It was horrible. Even IGN, in all their EA loving glory, gave it a very poor score.
I don't remember a lot of buzz about Live last year, but anyway, fine, so you've been burned, does that mean you should throw conspiracies around? Does that mean the reviewers are lazy? Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar my friend.

When all the major gaming sites fail to release reviews two days after release for major titles, I get suspicious. You should, too.
You mean 1 day after release? Also, unlike Madden, this isn't is "major release", and as such, its gonna have less buzz. Also, as we've told you, reviewers didn't get copies, so what, the reviews will come. Doesn't mean shadowy government agencies or corporate goons are conspiring.

[quote]I don't 'vote' along party lines. I'm a consumer. I don't take risks with my money and I rely on sources like OS for what I assume to be unbiased information. I would hope that you would value your own time enough to want to read unbiased reviews rather than something only money can buy.[quote]

Then wait with your dollar until reviews come, then make a decision. Your 60 bucks will still be worth 60 bucks tomorrow or Friday.

Maybe I'm wrong, but aside from Madden, the NBA games are the next 'big deal' in sports gaming. Since OS is solely a sport's gaming site, I find it hard to believe that they didn't receive the copy as usual or that they can't take 2 minutes out of their day to let people know what's going on.
Actually you're wrong. They are popular, but hardly the "next thing".

If you want to turn it into an EA issue, then it's equally sorry for them to withold review copies. However, I expect nothing less from any publisher. If you think I believe everything 2k Sports says you're strongly mistaken.
        Whatever you say boss.

I try to read between the lines and I see a trend with EA and review sites that is damaging to the gaming community. If you don't care enough to have an opinion, then please do not try to degrade me for expressing mine, and for the love of god please keep the fanboy BS out of any topic with me. I'm clearly not bashing NBA Live.
I never said you were bashing EA, I said you were throwing conspiracies around and spouting stuff that is usually reserved for 2K fanboys. If you aren't one, fine.

Are you slow or just not reading. 2 people on the staff already told you that we didnt recieve the copyn yet. Also, its rare that we review a game before release or even release week. The only reason we were able to for NBA2K7 was because we got an early copy. I'm locking this up. We already have a thread on the lack of Live reviews.
