I admit it too. The first night, I was loving this game. Was it because it was different? The pretty graphics (IMO)? Or the fact that I didn't have 2K7 yet? I got 2K7 and went to myself, "Self, I loved 2K6, and it'll be basically the same game, I should just stick with Live" But my completeness feeling took over and I popped in 2K7. Wow, what a game. So, I go back to my lonely copy of Live and try to give it love. But even with PM's slider settings, speed settings, etc, the game feels like a spastic duck that was hit by a car. Players move jerky, shots (especially 3 pointers) look horrific, etc. As much as I liked it early on, I hate it now and it's no longer in my collection. I feel bad, as the first night, 2 even, I was really digging it. Then 2K7 showed me what a real basketball game should be.Comment

I dont think its so much wanting to force oppinions or not respecting what others like. But over the years there has been a few trends that has been eating away at the die hard sports gamer. things that the diehards have been saying all those years are starting to become more and more evident. and increasingly worse. And he only reason anyone would remotley care what game others like is for example : 989 made attoricious sports games, but if gamers continualy made theme the top seeling game in the world, why would they improve their product? while at the same time companies who were making quality games that hardcore gamers loved were getting bounced out of busness. but dont get it twisted we'd want 989 to stay around too, just with a better product.
thats a vibe that you should be expected from a site like Opperation Sports : "Dedicated to Sports Gaming". there are plenty specific game fan sites around that are probaly less critical of games that dont cut it.
but in a perfect world you would be right , it would make no sense to worry about what others like, but in this case its messing up the whole "quality sells" conceptComment

Congrats on the 500 post, you know, it is so bittersweet, this game. Its a thing of beauty and at the same time ghastly and frustrating. Lord knows I tried, I bought it, and took it back, traded in & rebought it. I sent 2k7 back for madden after the patch came out, now I want 2k7 back ( my wife will seriously kill me if I tell her this). 2k7 is the perfect fix for someone like myself, a father of two not time for lengthy quarters. Graphics are ehh..but its fun. NBA live doesnt seem to want to go the sim route, but with thier graphics, man what a game it could be. Simplicity is key here I believe, no FSS but instead a shot stick, no gimmicks no dunking over 3 defenders, give us a BB game not an All-star game dunk fest. Hopefully next year, 2k will give their entire interface a much needed face-lift, and player models should be nothing less than what Live can produce. The great gameplay is already there. PM, we need you man, I hope your enjoying Live 07, but please give us a slider set for 2k7 especially team sliders. yeah, i'm with you skywalker. i tried to give it a chance and wait for some good sliders that would make the game playable. only they really didn't improve that gameplay at all, just got me more realalistic results. not realistic gameplay.
this game is just really bad and feels unfinished. there's areas of the gameplay that feel too slow compared to the rest of the game. i really just feel disconected from the action when i play. and the post play is the worst i've experienced since the ps1 basketball games.
i will never again purchase another ea sports game on the day of it's release or until after i have read several reviews and spent a good deal of time getting impressions from message boards.Comment

I give it achance too and finally returned it yesterday, i just couldnt get into it. the gameplay is the worse ever IMO. When i took it back they only gave me $26 for it. The guy at gamestop said he has never seen so many pissed people ever. He said he managed to convert some to 2K and they thanked him after they returned to the store. As a long time live fan i also saw the light after playing 2K6 for the 360, but i was still hoping that EA would turn this game around, they should have just not released it or delayed it.TO ALL FANBOYS

Live 07 is definately taking a beating all around. When I went to EB today, the guy told me he could not believe that I had bought that game. He said he already had 8-10 copys returned and was recomending 2K7 to all who walked in.
Sad time for EA in my opinion, all the BS that they have been giving loyal fans is starting to finally catch up in my opinion and rightfully so. I think if they don't come hard in 08 which I think they will. I think people will finally give up on them. Word of mouth/internet are to of the most powerful venues around. PEACE!!! I wonder if they will just stop taking returns. What are they gonna do with so many opened copies of a game that very few people want? I am surprised that they haven't cut it off yet.Comment
I think people are being too serious - the video for me was funny and I'm sure you could do the same kind of video for 2K7...
