LIVE or 2k7

I am getting a xbox 360 soon and was wondering if you would recommend live or 2k. I've been a big fan of the live series for the last few years but all I 've heard from reviews is that 2k is way better? Any suggestions on which game to buy? Thanks

2K7 is miles ahead. Not even close.
It’s been debated on this site but the overwhelming choice is 2K7. Just check out the video below and I think that will decide it for you. Peace!

I haven't played Live this year but it's virtually unanimous that NBA 2K7 is the better game. Gamerankings.com has the overall rating percentage by professional reviewers at 86% for NBA 2K7 and only 61% for NBA Live 07. Like the others said, it's not a close call.

I've played both and just recently sold live. There are things that live does well, but, honestly, 2K just has it down out of the box. It plays a great game of basketball--strategy, team, and shot selection are vital to succeed in 2K. Live has potential, but it's honestly not close this year.

With that said, I would rent both and see what suits you.

I rented out Live the day before i purchased 2K and it was a waste of rent one get one free voucher. no kidding. it was a 3day hire and i gave it back the next morning.

I use to buy both 2K and Live, but now I only look in one direction as well. IMO 2K7 offers the best in "SIM" style of basketball. It's not perfect but it's damn near.

Live looks better but 2k7 plays better.

Why do you buy games ?

If the answer is to look at the graphics then buy live.

If it's to play a solid game of round ball then go 2k7.

I have them both.

If we could combine the graphics of live with the gameplay of 2k7 it would be the perfect sports game.

I know I am in the 3% category (minority), but I like NBA Live. I just like the controls better. I like NBA 2K7 as well, but I find myself playing Live more. I think its because I can control the different moves better. When i want to do a lay-up, around the back pass, bounce pass, or Jordan esque dunk, I control it. It makes me feel like I created the highlight instead of waiting for a scripted animation. I just wish Live had better player emotions and interaction.
