Looks ok. I just hope that when a defender is beat off the dribble, another will come over and help instead of the lane being wide open and everyone just looking around taking pictures.

Looks like a bite off of 2K's isomotion moves, but not as good looking.

I kinda like this Quickstrike concept better. The thing with isomotion is that you have to often wait for a canned animation to finish in some cases. Also, I like how EA is simplifying the dribble moves this year.

Isomotion can be very frustrating, when trying to remember all of the button combinations to perform moves. Dribbling and crossover moves shouldn't be complicated in there execution IMO.

There are moves that I still haven't been able to pull off in NBA2K7 that are in the game because, it can be really tough to string them together. Maybe Isomotion (3) will be improved also. But, I like that EA is using 4 simple directions on the R stick to pull off moves. Instead of the multiple button combos on NBA2K7.

We will see how well it will be executed in both games, but I like the basic approach that EA is trying with the Quickstrike dribble moves.

To me Isomotion is unresponsive. This looks like you have more control of what you want to do.

Maybe the Stick function is probably similar to Isomotion.

The vid looks pretty nice...but what the difference between quickstrike and EA's Freestyle control that was introduced back in 03 (or was it 04?)

Quickstrike only has 4 moves of the R stick, unlike freestyle and isomotion where you have way too many button combos to remember in order to perform simple dribble moves and crossovers.

I really like the idea of making dribbling more simple. You shouldn't have to remember crazy button combos during the game, just in order to do these moves.

Looks just like what Isomotion is. The animations look better because the defense is responsive to every move done. I like the simple strikes but that just gives less reason to master the game. Nice thoughts put into the game seriously which I have no problem with. It is very sexy looking. Of course I'll wait and see how it performs in person as opposed to what the videos look like that they're showing. Have that type of situation before already. I'm glad that they are stepping up their game and putting in something innovative enough for me to take glance at.

This is definitely a positive from what I see. Is it enough for me to pony up? Not just yet from what I'm seeing.......

Try college hoops 2K7 bigeast. Yet and still, its a bite.

For the guy saying isomotion is button combinations, you haven't played the game one time.

I think that isomotion is a great idea by 2k but they need to continue improving on the responsiveness of the feature as well as introduce branch-points for animations.

I like what EA is doing with Quick Strike.

My only concern in that video was Davis easily dunking at the end of the clip. No one can do that. Not even Jordan did anything close to that move. You can not dribble down the lane with a defender closely guarding you and then suddenly jump up and dunk the basketball as if you were running down the lane during a dunk contest.

And if it's possible, it doesn't happen in the NBA. Players would never risk that move because it would be an offensive foul over 99% of the time.

edit: That being said, both 2k and EA are guilty of this.

And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace

I don't think it's going to be as easy dunking on somebody like they showed in the trailer. Live was just showing it off to people, and honestly I like it, it's a lot smoother. I agree, 2k need to step up this year to improve responsiveness on isomotion.
