Yeah, basically any animation involving shooting looks bad to me in Live. Lay-ups, jumpers, dunks, everything just doesn't look good.

Does 2K have authentic jump shots?

Yes. More than you would possibly think. And you can use any of them on create a players.

The one thing that STILL bothers me about this game is the total lack of defense by the CPU around the bucket. Guys can just drive to the hole all day, dunk, and knock the defender backwards at ease. Rarely did I see the CPU even try to block a drive attempt or post up moves down low, Yao should have tried to kill that post up attemp by Chris Wilcox in that first movie, but he stood there and did nothing....that's very troubling to me.

Ah darn, that may be a winner for me. Im big on good game play and authenticity in sports games. I really want to give LIVE a shot this year but.... any thing that would probably win me over?

This should be able to be fixed by sliders.

Raising the foul call as well as aggression...

OOH MAN. I'm getting that itch. I think I can make this a very, VERY playable game with a slider set.

Probably the ease of the gameplay. Live looks much more pick up and play than 2k8... If you have friends that don't want to spend time learning controls it looks like they will have a blast. Very familiar yet new feeling...

I'm only going from videos though. I have yet to play the game.

I played the LIVE demo and liked it, but it wsa only a demo, it was on an easy level, cant adjust sliders so you really cant tell all that much. But I thought the flow and movement of the players was pretty good.,

This game looks pretty good, but the passing just totally KILLS it for me. Im running fast breaks in the demo and im lobbing the ball to the man running next to me?? i mean Loooob. Like stop everything your doing and wait 2 seconds for the ball to come down and catch it lob. Totally unacceptable. EA fix your passing and come see me next year.

I think that you can adjust sliders and the difficulty level in the LIVE demo.

there are 3 things ultimately WRONG/BAD about this years Live.

1) Passing. Theres is tons of popping into hands etc.
2) Dunking. Just NOT fluid or realistic enough.
3) Buggy

But then there are the three MAJOR things that make this game one of the best lives ever.

1)foot planting. in some parts they have nailed it.
2)Dribbling. Nicely user controlled.
3)Where NBA Live 07 felt 40 percent complete this game feels 70 percent complete as a game engine. i can see this game being tweaked and IF CARED FOR becoming as good as NHL 08 and Fifa 08 are this year next year

The gameplay seems soooo generic... the two teams dont seem different offensively ...team tendency wise.
