I actually believe EA just has a name but is not as talented as 2ksports.I think they give an effort towards they're games but just is not better than 2ksports.But now look at the big 09 improvements since some 2ksports developers went there animations,a.i.,and the appeal of the game has improved.

I didn't think live was a bad game just animations was horrible and graphics too grainy.

I'm looking forward to live 09 though

I've read some other forums, talk about how this forum has become pro 2ksports, and that's why a lot of people have left here or haven't posted in months.

Some of those folks should check the hockey forums, B. Or the baseball forums. 2k gets dissed pretty frequently on those boards. Or maybe they should do some searches on the OS basketball forums before 06...when it was ID>Live>>>>>>2K.

Maybe some of those people just can't accept that Live has been a couple steps behind so far this gen. Personally, I think it takes more "bias" to force oneself to search for the positives in a game, one even the devs have admitted was booty, but to each his own. Live is looking alot better this year...

Live used to have things ahead of 2k like animations, sound, atmosphere... in the past, bu t they completely switched that and decided pretty graphics was more important than gameplay and the game just sucked.

No mid range game

Horrible animations, cheesy gameplay, cheating AI and I could go on.

It was EA's own fault for losing its own faithful fanbase for releasing garbage on the market and not caring what the consumer wanted.... and as HMC said, come out and say you could release doo doo on a platter and it would still sell anyhow.

All I know is, I don't care who it is, I just want a good hoops game. Forget all of this mabeline talk about being neutral and so on. Just put out a good game and you'll get your props.

At least show the people you're working on what's ruining their experience, not release fluff or gimmicks to cover up the flaws you know are there, and both companies are guilty of it. 2K4 and 2K5 were 2 of the worst iterations of basketball I've ever played... just as bad as an half done Live 06 and a monstrosity named Live 07.


As far as what other people say this board and staff has been accused of being pro EA as much as it has been pro 2K. All of them are laughable assumptions and the people who left probably made the boards better by doing so.

2k5 was pretty bad... but like you, others had fun with it.

Remember the turn-around fadeaway that always got blocked? Ugh. That was pretty bad.
