some ppl are really negative toward this game - which is fine, that's their opinion - but i wanted to post some positive feedback for beluba and steph.

i really like live and was sort of "forced" to go to 2k the last couple of years because live was so bad. the demo looks really good to me and i'm excited to get back to EA basketball. i can't stand the control (or lack thereof) in the 2k games. i think the game is heading in a good direction and i'm excited to see what happens the next couple of years.

One thing I can say from that demo vid is that it doesnt look as bad as some are making it out to be

Another thing with both major bball games i cant understand is why do they pass the ball overhead passing when its not necessary

Didnt see PG domination

Some shots still look too fast.. they need to fix that ugh

Some of the animations look quirky, but IMHO

The gameplay is going to be very very important on the lasting value moreso than animations for this game.

Wait until you play it. The issue is more responsiveness than anything else. When you see a video, you can't tell that someone pushed that button a good 1-2 seconds before the player responded. It's not horrible, and once you start working with it, rather than expecting it to be something it's not, it's a basketball game. I think Sage said it earlier; it does feel like basketball. Great basketball? nah. Good basketball? honestly, maybe not. Decent basketball? Sure.

Floaty passes and stopping to catch the ball really kill the flow of the offense.

Spent a significant amount of time with the demo to say and I think I'm leaning towards not purchasing it for the 4th straight year. I hate to say that too because I really wanted to have a second option for basketball this year since basketball games are the only games I can play year round and never get sick of them.

I just made an alley-oop (Pierce to KG), and when I pressed LT, the replay come up with a Top 10 nominee.

Is that announced? I read every post here and in other forums, and never read nothing about that.

Anyone knows something?

Nope that wasn't announced. And if it's Top 10, then we might have a halfway decent postgame highlight showing this year.

And BTW, how did you throw an Alley-Oop?

There were moments in Live 08 that this was a problem too. I sometimes dont jump on defense to contest a shot or whatever because it just wont respond for some reason.

I really hope the final version has this fixed.

1. definitely each persons own perspective. those expecting the worse can definitely find it and vice versa.
2. I agree. time for some dedicated passing mechanics..ch2k8 was on it's way.
3. The 2 min time frame is sooooo fast that you won't be able to really see it. I noticed that it seems good, that if you back off rondo, he doesn't go into immediate shooting mode, unless you give the lane. And if you back off fish he will shoot it. so they seem to be playing as they should/do. lol.
4.&5. The animations and shot speed seem to all go hand in hand. just weird....

as mecca said, the sluggishness is just hella off...BUT it seems to be similiar to what it was before and people who have been playing live will have a less difficult time adjusting to it.

I hope that Top 10 involves all the games of the day in season mode or franchise. I know its just my desire, but... you know it would be awesome

Right bumper + Up on right stick. Basically bring up icon pass and press up on your right thumbstick
