    Re: NBA Live 2010 GamePlay Wishlist...

    Lets see, judging from the demo I think the gameplay is pretty good but EA really needs to work on the animations. Most of them look fine but running animations and some layups look weird.

    Passing must be improved. Ball feels floaty on passes and they dont always get where I want them to be.

    Blocks from behind are hard to pull off, the rival game does a better job on that.

    Putback Dunks must be included.

    Diving for the ball must be included.

    Less chained animations, more control over your player.

    I dont know why developers of basketball games dont get rid of the problem that people just dribble and try to get a dunk by making charging more effective.

    Dribbling should be easier. I mean shorter animations that you can chain together.

    Well thats all for now from the top of my head.

      Re: NBA Live 2010 GamePlay Wishlist...

      Some of the things are already mentioned but I'll will post my first wishes here already:

      - Better net and rim ball physics;

      - Better implementation of Bank shots and lay-ups (use of backboard);

      - Diving for the ball implemented;

      - Putback dunks / tip-in's implemented;

      - Don't know if it's possible to set rotations in the subs based on minutes, so you can adjust the average amount of minutes for every player?? I saw some akward substitutions in the demo... O bryant for Perkins for example;

      - Include the dutch team in the FIBA Teams LOL

        Re: NBA Live 2010 GamePlay Wishlist...

        Create a Team, Full Madden esk dynasty mode with create a jersey/stadium/court. Be a Pro mode, start as rookie type of deal. Gameface from Tiger.

        Things from past Lives that need to come back next year.

        Legends, no need for historic rosters but at least give us the decade all stars again.

        Import March Madness Draft Classes, 2004 did this, no reason it can't still exist today.

        Off ball control, again, 2004 had this, not a key gameplay element but still good to have.

        Give and Go, from older Lives again, holding the pass button and controlling the passer then letting go of pass to finish the give and go, no reason for that to disappear.

        Tip Dunks, no real explanation needed

        Get rid of the force field around the court for at least the ball, let us slap it out of bounds and then have the crowd throw it back or something.

        I dont know if this has been addressed this year yet but change the dunk contest for the NG consoles. The CG version was at least fun but the fireworks dont make up for the shotty controls/animations.

        Get rid of the cutscenes on the court, instead have the cutscenes but have it occur on the court so we can do replays of them and such. Kinda like MM07's on the PS2.

        I'm enjoying seeing some of the old Live 06/07 animations in the 09 demo, but damn, they should be re-mocapped for next year at the very least, just for the sake of variaty.

        Bring back choosing which hand to steal with with the right analog, having that mapped as charge is not smart imo. 2003 had this type of control.

        Man, I could keep going on and on, I'll come back later.

          -pg coming to get the ball after someone gets a defensive rebound
          -collisions for players without the ball (besides the off ball screens, box outs, and post positioning)
          -certain pg's (anthony carter, andre miller, etc) passing on open shots, in the demo the pg's seem to shoot all the time if you leave them open or if they get open even just for a moment
          -incorporate player rotations in 365 cause they change a lot during a season

            I have some stuff for dynasty mode

            It would be cool if you implented the be a pro in the dynsty for certain ocasisons like during the all star game who ever on your team makes it to the allstar game you can only use them in the game if you have more then one player you can choose back and forth also the same for fiba every two years you can choose to pick one player out of your team you want to join the fiba team. Also bring back the cutsence that was in 2004 like when you draft players, cut players sign free agents, mvp award and other stuff you guys can think off. Also something like a webpage or magazine to tell what going on in the league.
            I havent played the game or demo but it looks pretty good, i would say improve the passing, and add more signature stuff like dunks, dribbling, more shots, rebouding etc. Last thing not a biggey but it would be cool if you could add custom stadium music like ncaa 09.

              Post whatever you would like.. My only point was that we wont have several threads for wishlists because we've always had one central place devs could come.

              Post gameplay wishes as the OP meant for this thread to be... but if you have other ideas shoot those too.

                Manual bank shots

                Signature dribbling moves (spin the analog in a circle to pull off players signature move)

                Natural motion euphoria engine for collisions only

                Tie ups and jumpballs

                Move the invisible wall back to the 5th row in the stands so players can interact with the crowd (saving lose balls, collisions with camera men, coahes, and so on, you can even throw in a animation so the crowd members throw the ball back to the ref after block shots or how ever the ball end up in the crowd).

                Put all the players on the bench and add more coaches.

                Defensive DNA and better post defense

                Controllable post game show and scenes ( It would be cool if we can have scenes where we can controll our player after game winning shots only).
                Run off the court and pile up celebrations.

                  -Analog shooting. I'm playing the 2009 demo and maybe I'm doing something wrong, but the lack of shooting with the analog stick is a little lame. Maybe it's in there, though, and I'm just missing it, but it seems like kind of something every basketball game should have already.

                  -Analog stick dunk control. I've been hoping a basketball game would find a way to pull dunks off with the analog stick... Basically controlling the ball with the right stick or something after you've taken off, and controlling the body with the left stick. I think that would be great. Just being able to pull it back manually, or go through the legs or do spins and other things like that... It would make dunk competitions awesome, and it would add something in game for when a player really feels like being risky on a breakaway dunk.

                  Of course it would be pretty important to make players with poor ball control lose the ball if they tried anything too fancy, so that only the absolute best dunkers could really pull off the big, big moves.

                  And assume I mean realistic dunks, too - no impossible or crazy dunks.

                    Do you mean the right stick for shooting? Because that's used for quickstrike moves. If you're talking about leaners, you need momentum.

                      Live 2010 needs more degrees of movement on the left analog. Right now the characters walk as if the input is digital. If I push lightly on the analog, the character should take smaller or slower steps. More precision in the body positioning is essential for defense.

                        It may be just the demo but sometimes on the pick and roll when I am defending if I manually hedge the screen the ball handler will kind of morph through his own player to get open. Hard to explain but instead of going around the screen he goes through the man setting the pick.

                        I would love to see more variation on how the cpu pick n roll ballhandler comes off the screen. Sometimes hard sometimes working the screen a bit more. I don't feel like the AI can take advantage if I play it certain ways so goes into a wierd animation to account for it or locks me into something.

                        The on ball pressure defense has a bit too much suction at times. When I try to keep my distance and stay in front I will get pulled into the defensive animation. We should be able to keep our distance and still move with him without being sucked all the way body to body.

                        Dna values for substitution patterns would be wonderful to make sure guys that play multiple positions and different rotations are well represented.

                        I notice also that the cpu seems to help us out to much with automatic dribbles during pressure. Like the automatic step back It does keep us from losing the ball if we don't react fast enough but they also cause us to have too many instances where we are not in control.

                        The next game within a game segment should be in rebounding. Simular to the nfl games you should be able to manually swim and spin to get the defensive boards and the man boxing out can have options to move with you like lock on D.

                              Need more crowd participation. In the last minutes of a tie or close game (regular season and especially playoffs), the crowd and bench players are all standin'.

                                I think it would be cool if you had like a half time show or post game show and a pre game show which includes top plays,worst plays, and stuff like that. I know it was in some of the previous 2k games but............ implemeting it with dynamic dna and nba live 365 would make this a killer feature.
