    What kind of FG%'s are you guys coming out with? I'd like to hear details as style of play, user skill, etc. can cause large swings from user to user. But if everyone is in agreement, we might be able to get some changes into a patch.

    <li>Contested jumpers (short, mid, 3PT)?
    <li>Layups (in traffic, with contact, open)?

        I think too many contested jumpshots + post faded +layups are going in. When you defend KG on the Post theres sometimes nothing you can do against the CPU, he will still hit it.

          Open J's almost always goin in. Might miss 1 or 2 contested J's the whole demo. I don't think I've missed a layup yet unless I got fouled. Momentum shots and post shots don't seem too bad to me so far. Mostly I've been playing 2 player games.

            Open jumpers are having a very high success rate from all ranges, particularly from 3.
            Contest jumpers are having a very high success rate.

            I'm playing on Superstar and I'm only talking about my effectiveness, not the CPU's. Pick and roll 3pter with Ray Allen seems like a bread and butter play.

            EDIT: I tried cheesing the computer with the Pick and Roll, and it was pretty effective. The only defense they had was a block on a jump shooter. The main problem seems to be that contesting the shot doesn't lower the percentage, so many of the shots that should just be misses turn out to be blocks.

              yea the precentages are too high on default but with some slider tweaks i couldnt stop playing the demo when i switched up the sliders i actually felt like i was playing defense contested shots were not falling, i was wasnt making every shot with kobe and i even missed some open jumpers. I did notice something though theres not alot of missed shot animations the one i noticed the most was the the one thats bounces of the rim then hits the backboard and it always happens on the leftside

                Playing a game right now, going to dictate each and every play. Myself (Celtics) vs CPU (Lakers). Highest difficulty. No slider tweaks.

                1st Quarter
                -Run Pierce 4 Out Guard 1, Pierce hits a running leaning jumper at the foul line with Radmanovic near but not contesting. 2-0 Celtics
                -Odom misses contested jumper at foul line. 2-0 Celtics
                -Run Garnett 4 Out Big 1, KG hits a moderately contested fadeaway at the high block. 4-0 Celtics.
                -Radmanovic misses a highly contested jumper at foul line. 4-0 Celtics.
                -Run Pierce Get Open, Pierce hits a 3 with Radmanovic hand in face. 7-0 Celtics.
                -Fisher hits a contested jumper on the left wing. 7-2 Celtics.
                -Allen hits an open jumper ON the 3 line in the bottom corner. 9-2 Celtics.
                -Odom misses a jumper after Garnett bit on a fake, Gasol rebounds and dunks. 9-4 Celtics.
                -Run Allen Off Ball Screen, gets fouled on the jumper, makes both FTs. 11-4 Celtics.
                -Fisher misses a 3 from the Celtics' foul line to close out the quarter. 11-4 Celtics.

                -Kobe misses an open 3 after Allen gambled for the pass, Gasol rebounds and dunks. 13-6 Celtics.
                -Run Allen 4 Out Guard 1, KG gets an alley oop from Allen after the pick and roll. 15-6 Celtics.
                -Fisher gets blocked inside, 15-6 Celtics.
                -Run Allen 4 Out Guard 1, Rondo hits an open 3 on the left wing. 18-6 Celtics.
                -Radmanovic misses a contested 3 in the corner. 18-6 Celtics.

                Yes, I realize this is a small sample size, but this sort of thing isn't out of the ordinary from my time with the demo. Except I have seen both teams go 100% and have 25+ points each and with both teams hitting beyond half courters to close out the quarters. I almost exclusively run perimeter plays and usually shoot in the 60-70% FG unless I'm feeling froggy and decide to call a few plays with Y button and they run a Garnett post up in which he's money from up and unders or fadeaways.

                  I've also noticed in the demo that a jumpshot that is going to go in has a floaty or higher trajectory, while missed jumpers come out of the shooters hand with a flatter trajectory and with what seems to be more speed. After playing the demo for awhile I know when a jumper is goin in just shortly after release.

                  Anybody else notice this....?

                    That is by design. It's so you can tell if you released the jumper at the correct point.

                      Wait a minute..... (I dont have the demo...still waiting on ps3)

                      What difficulty is the demo on ?? Or is the high FG % even high on the highest difficulty ??


                      If that is the case I hope it gets tweaked befor ethe release of the game or it's really gonna screw up stuff online.

                        Well if live would have bothered to use different animations depending on release, you could see if you relased early or late right off the bat without having to contrive a trajectory to tell you something so simple. But because live only uses one single animation i guess im glad they did that,otherwise you wouldnt know where the correct release point was, it just takes some of the suspense out of the game, thats all.
