Another tip. If the player your guarding keeps trying to drive get in your charge stance. From what I've seen it stops them and they either pass or pull up for a bad shot.Comment

Yup, left stick for movement and right stick for the stance/take charge, hands up.
The more I play and get the hang of it, Im startign to get some really, really good games.
I honestly think this is the most "Sim" defensive control scheme Ive seen. It needs a little more fine tuning, put I think the concept is absolutely excellent.
Its challenging, but rewarding when you do it well. I held off a furious rally by the Nets by slapping jared jefferies on Vince, and I managed to force him into some pretty comical shots.
I played Miami with the Magic and was making Marcus Banks look like a fool at times. I lost the game because I had very little answer for D-Wade. I simply had no way to consistantly defend him
What was great about that game, was when JJ Reddick got subbed in, Wade went straight to work...when I had Mikeal Pietrus on him, I fared better.
You really feel the difference between a good defender and a bad one, and it really gives you a little bit of a taste of how hard these guys must be to defend.Last edited by sportyguyfl31; 10-11-2008, 12:15 PM.Comment

Proud of you sportguy
It didnt take you long at all, and I must say that I agree. The Live team is definitely on to something with the controls.
Im glad everyone is realizing that overplaying a quick player is bad defense and it gets you the shaft for not being smart. Its an absolute blast trying to out chess the opponent in different ways, whether it be one's with speed or one that uses picks well and often.Comment
