I can't really say, but I'd target around NBA Finals time.

Re: Ask the devs a question

Thanks! I forgot to ask whether the 2 shot buttons will be changed to 1 button or something else for Live 10. I've played minimal Live over the past several years, and this has been the primary issue I've had with the controls, especially being so accustomed to the right stick in the 2K bb games. Sorry if this has been asked previously in the thread. Thanks again.

I believe that Beluba mentioned that earlier, and there will be no change to the two-button mechanic, but there will be refinements (like the backboard shots mentioned in the "using the glass" thread) that make the system better.

I've actually gotten used to it.. I would have a harder time playing both games if they changed the control scheme to more like 2K's with just slight differences than if it stays totally different like it is now...

              Developers,

Have there been any changes/improvements made to the player models? It seems as though players in the Live series have too skinny arms and legs.

Also, in your estimation, how much of a visual difference is there from 09 to 10?

Do you guys play older NBA Lives at all? For inspiration or just for fun?

I'd guess I'm also curious as to which past Live is all of your favorites, since we've kinda hit a wall of what we can and can't ask until official info is released.

Actually I don't think I ever talked about it. But since we're on the subject... I was never a fan of the 2 button shot system and it was one of the first things to change this year. Jumpshots, layups, and dunks are all now on 1 button. It's a very intuitive setup and I look forward to giving you guys the details in a few months.

My favorite NBA LIVE was 95 on the Genesis, 2003 on the PS2

Well I guess I gotta hope this game plays sim out the box online. Seems like there wont be separate lobbies for those who want the "fun" experience versus those of us who want a "sim" experience.

TO, just because we don't answer a question you ask, doesn't mean ANYTHING is happening.

No reason to try and assume just to bait an answer my man.

When we have info, and are allowed to talk, we'll tell you. It's really that simple.

I want you guys to succeed, but I don't wanna hear the hype anymore, I want results...it's time to step it up like the EA NHL franchise has done...show us what you can do with the NBA Live series...

we totally know where we're at. Hence why we're trying to do as little "talking" as possible (until we're allowed to). Shortly you'll see the results of our work that we're pretty excited about.

Adding on top to this, yes, we do work for EA SPORTS. We're here talking to you guys, not PR, not marketing, us. I understand where you guys are coming from, and I personally have had the same complaints.

We're getting there guys. Please guys, don't confuse us being quiet on things as "creating hype." Plain and simple, we have guidelines that we follow and we'll release info when we're allowed to release. Trust me, no one wants to release info more than all of us!
