Yep, we know it's a bit frustrating....

We're looking to improve this next year though.

I wasn't here during the development of NBA LIVE 09, so I couldn't answer that question. I'll dig it up for you though!

I hope your not saying the fastbreaks where your defense doesn't get back on D is not in the patch if so this is DEFINITELY my last EA game. I was already fooled by that nasty and poor representation of football Madden 09. I haven't played Madden since 04, but played the demo and it seemed like strides were taking, which is true but low and behold it is STILL the same game and 5 years behind that other game.

Also, I haven't played Live since 05, other Lives following have been more than subpar, I also played the demo of this years Live and was really impressed as to what has been done with the game. But as a consumer, I didn't just buy an xbox 360 to purchase just one game, so with that being said $60+ for a video game is a bit much to me. I feel that if any game is RELEASED with MAJOR BUGS, they MOST and SHOULD be taken care of at that particular time, whether it be having another team work on fixing the bugs or whatever but it's just UNACCEPTABLE at RELEASE for a game to be like that.

So you know what happened when the BUGS are not addressed right, the consumer has to "wait until NEXT YEAR" for things to get better next year only to have the following year roll around with even more issues. So not only did I waste my $60 but as a consumer you want me to have faith in your company that you'll EVENTUALLY get things right.

Well I do have a choice, I could either rent the game or just not buy it altogether. So I'll take some of the blame for it. Sorry for the rant but if that issue is not fixed in the patch then that's the END with EA for me, I'll just do something else with that money for years to come.

Re: Ask the devs a question

I know the patch has gone live, but I was wondering if there would be future patches. If so, is there any way that player lock can be coded to be included in the User Preferance.

        It Could Read:

        Theme:
        Auto Save:
Preferred Position: (All, PG, SG, SF, PF, C)

I ask because it's really unintuitive to have to pause the game before or after tip-off to go into the menu and select a position each game.

If not possible via patch, it would be cool to have this as an option in NBA Live '10.

          Fellas

Can somone at EA take a look at communication?

          Simply that.

I wasn't angry about the game...I'm not going to get upset about gameplay things. I am old enough to know what the score is there and that we won't get a perfect game. It's annoying when guys here misinterpret this. All my points were about communication.

I'd like to see the games developers work a bit on that for 2010.

Example: the consumer (me) says "will the patch fix fast breaks?".
You (EA) say "No. The code is too complicated to do that at the moment".
Me : "thanks for the reply. I appreciate it"

          And we all move on.

No more "cloak and dagger: maybe it's fixed / maybe it's not / I can't tell you, it's top secret" etc.

          Cheers

It has nothing to do with "communication" my man.

If we could have told you, we would have.

You're right, it's inconsistent. Let's leave it at that.

How many players can you create in Live 09? Or is there no limit?

No, I don't think there have been in-game injuries for the last 3 years on 360.

Is dynasty mode programmed to change starting lineups throughout the season? I've never seen this before if true but I was just wondering why the Pistons would have had Wallace coming off the bench. The really weird thing though is that if you look at their player rotation, Wallace has the PT full bar and Maxiell has it halfway up, yet is still starting.

Any news, Steph? I was able to correct the problem on my own by trading Nazi Mohammed to the Pistons for Maxiell, then trading Maxiell back for Nazi, lol. Hey...whatever works, right?

Why not? How hard is that to incorporate? You guys have great foul animations, block animations, guys falling to the ground. How difficult is it to generate a cutscene of a guy getting injured and walked off the court?

                              That's very disappointing to hear.

I feel stupid even saying that injuries are part of the game; not just simulated-game injuries.

It is really. Yet another feature in current-gen that didn't make it into the leap. I'm gonna have to simulate some games in my Dynasty just so my players can have a chance of being injured. Not saying I want my players to be injured, just that there should be a chance they will be, just like irl.
