Some quick questions about Live 10:

When I pass the ball to an open shooter at the 3pt line will he always have his feet on the line like in 09? About 10 times Id give it to the post then kick it to the weakside 3 and once the guy caught it he'd be on the line.

In dynasty mode do I have to option of being all 30 teams and can I play every game I want to? Because I feel like Im not involved when I dont play the Finals or dont know who half the players are in year 15 if I dont play against every team.

NBA Live 09 didn't really have any "wow" moments animation wise, will 10 have those wow animations?

I agree.I hate it when you are restricted to play only your team's games in franchise modes of sport games. I asked iminurbase if we can play any game on the schedule and he said we can only play our teams games,but i forgot to ask him how many teams can be user controlled.

You can play as your team or the other team. You can also have a friend (same console) play with/against you.

We also have a new mode that changes the game on this.

Will that friend be able to Manage his own team? The only time I even touch 2k is when my friends are over, and we hop in to a Multiplayer franchise and play for like 12 hours straight trying to meet in the finals...

I think it's more fun to do a 7 game finals series with a friend than a whole franchise with CPU

We usually Fantasy Draft though, and try to build our teams into contenders. It usually takes about 3 to 4 seasons. I just love making trades always trynna make my team better, and it's that much better having a friend competing with your every move.

We were planning on doing a general AI blog later on. What specifically do you want to hear about?

I was asking mostly about what the dev team has done to make each play differently from the other teams. Anything from default offenses, playbooks, tempo, team specific AI. Anything along those line.

How many more signature shots have you added in this years game? Also have you taken the time to actually look and give an accurate shot to each player cause no offense in 09 at least 90% of the players had a totally wrong shot. Also are the shots more smooth unlike last year when they seemed so clunky and robotic?

Even if 2k9's gameplay is bad I still like playing it knowing that every little bench player has been given a somewhat smooth accurate shot. I'm hoping Live pulls through with this.

There seems to be some confusion about what Lockdown Defense was. The actual feature was that as an onball defender, you could walk up to the ballhandler and engage in a postup-like animation. From there, the ball handler could retreat or attempt to drive around you. That feature was removed because it broke game flow and wasn't any fun.

Defensive Assist is the feature where you hold down a button and let the AI control your player for you. That feature still exists, but as I mentioned before, has been scaled back in its effectiveness. In short, if you don't manually D up your guy this year, you'll be at a disadvantage. So in essence, it's most useful when you're just trying to get your bearings and find your check (especially useful in online team play) or you need to cruise control for a bit to reach over and eat some chips.

Does that mean that by just holding down the Defensive Assist button, the AI will control my players movement? I hated that feature in 2K, and would rather have a 'Defensive Stance' button like in the past where I would have full control over my defender. If I still have control with the Defensive Assist button held, then that wouldn't be as bad I guess.
