Anybody else feel like the rim physics in practice mode (Academy, when you're just shooting around) is different from the in-game rim physics?
I was shooting around with Kobe earlier, in-between the 3 point line and the edge of the painted area, and I made a bank shot. I was so surprised that I tried shooting from the same location a few more times. Eventually I made another bank shot! I've never seen that happen in-game.
So now I'm focusing more on the rim physics, to see if I see anything new. To my surprise, some of my shots hit the rim once, twice, even thrice (rattling) before going in! Some even hit the rim, bounce off the board, then go in. I also saw a rim-board-rim-rim combo before going in. All of these at least 15 feet onwards, on jump shots. I even watch the jump shots that my teammates make and the results are the same.
It was like a breath of fresh air, seeing all this variety! I've never really spent much time just shooting around in practice mode so I never noticed this before. But I've never seen them in-game! During games all I see in jump shots are swishes. I wonder why?
