This is the end of that, and yes your comments brought the thread down because it was a patch thread not another one for personal issues with the game thread which yet another one turned into.

There is a sticky for asking questions and a PM system. Wrecking other threads continually with the same thing over and over is trolling, and that is OS TOS.

Anyone that doesn't agree with that, talk with Mellinnium.

Now on with the patch discussion. Anything further than that in here gets deleted.

I can't wait for the patch. I haven't been into basketball forever, and my future bro in law got me hooked on Live 08, which was okay, but it didn't catch on outside online play, but Live 09, is a whole different beast. There is a few things I hope the patches fixes, but two thumps up!

No lag on jumping seems to be the biggest thing fixed with the patch.

I was really hoping for more contact down low or something to make it tougher to score inside.

waiting for this patch is hard man.... (360 user)

its friday 6pm est and i am starting to feel i'll have to wait until next friday or thursday for this thing.....

its crazy some have it already and they(MS & Sony) didnt drop it today but lets see what happens...

For those that didn't read the other thread, these were my early observations:

Okay, I went home and played a game at lunch. Since I had to get back to work, I only played one half, at 7-minute quarters. For the record, playing on the PS3. These are some observations:

-- Like I said before, it sure SEEMS like they have tightened up the interior D. Hard to tell in just one half, will take more testing. But there was less auto-animation scores. And more misses, period, from in close.

-- I didn't notice any difference in the CPU fast-breaking. Mind you, I DID play against the Timberwolves, so maybe there weren't really any opportunities, but they weren't flying down the court by any means.

-- LOVE the quicker jumping ability!!! No hour-long gather animations. You push button, your guy jumps! Noticeable result? I was MUCH more susceptible to the pump-fake-drop-step! LOL!!! I FLEW by the guy several times!!!

-- I noticed the DNA "streaks" are now working, too, but I don't think that's patch related. Still way cool though!<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /><o

Well, two more full games under my belt and I stand by what I said earlier. It certainly seems more difficult to score inside. Definitely less "Get-in-the-paint-and-hit-square-and-automatically-score" going on. I like that.

It seems like they've amped up the difficulty, for sure. I got my a$$ handed to me by <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" /><st1:City w:st="on">Toronto</st1:City> (I was <st1:City w:st="on"><st1

And against the Warriors (I was the Lakers), all I could do was stand there helplessly as Stephen Jackson OWNED me in the 4th quarter (7 of 9 from field) and willed them to victory.

Hey does this patch address a roster issue that I just fouund in dynasty mode? I was ready to play the nets, and noticed that Vince Carter was nowhere to be found.

I checked the Nets roster and saw that he was on IR but he as not injured.

Im guessing at one point hee was and the CPU never put him back into the active lineup after he healed.

i gotta say, before the patch, i loved the game...and now....and its even better. i unno about anyone else, but im noticing a huge difference in gameplay. i set everything back to default for my first game with the patch....and i gotta say..im not even sure i have to change a slider,maybe 1 or 2 down the track, but i just loved the way the game plays now,even more so than before.it even seems like theres a few more animations thrown into the mix, i dont know if this is correct, but it sure felt different.blocking delay isnt as bad....and even george hill has been fixed on the spurs roster......i couldnt be happier with this game.Next year is gunna be 1 hell of a year for basketball games.

Yup, it definitely feels better, like the overall flow of the game is better. I'm also seeing a few new (at new least for me) animations. Although it wasn't the big improvement that I was hoping for, it still is a good patch.
