My impressions of the patch after playing 3 games.

Absolutely love the fact that they attack the person there double teaming now. But, there needs to be a variety. If Garnett has the ball at the top of the key I don't want another person running at him there. I only want him doubled on the block. Also I need to be able to make these adjustments on the fly!!! This is vital. Now since they know I'm doubling Garnett because it's coming fast every single time, they just wait and once the double comes kick it out to the open man everytime. I need to be able to switch it up (STRATEGY) Not only are we playing the game but were coaching out there as well. So I guess I'll have to do it manually. Only difference between me holding the button down to call a double and going to the adjustment screen and setting it to double is, when you set it to double who you want, the physics is better and they actually go after the guy, but when you manually do it by pressing the button so many times they just run around in circles especially if that's what the opposing player is doing. Something to think about.

Absolutely HATE!!! the over halfway filled green freethrow bars now. It is impossible to miss with anyone. So if I go up for a hard foul against Shaq, it's an automatic 2 points. Theres no strategy involved in it whatsoever. I think what you guys should have done waws atleast just kept it the same and made it so the user can't disrupt your freethrows. You would have atleast seen some missed freethrow shots then. When you guys are creating these sports games you gottta think more along the lines of STRATEGY, RPG. Making each challenger have to think, don't make things come so EASY for the user.

Absolutely love the blocking now, no delay in the jumps, yet still realistic, good job on that. Need to work on players going for loose balls though. If I block a shoot, and the ball is bouncing, the players should go after the ball. Not good physics in that area but good job with the blocks.

Absolutely love that you guys decreased the shot % in the paint along with the contacted shots. Star players still make a decent amount but they also miss shots as well. And scrubs are no longer go to guys and star players (except for the fastbreak glitch which is still in the game, bummers!!) so good job in this area.

Fatigue has been adjusted I see as well. But it still doesn't have the complete effect I'm looking for. Might wanna take it back to the turbo bar days to keep players from just running around continuous and rapidly especially with star players. I wanna see MORE MORE bent down with there hands on there needs animations. Pass the ball around for crying out loud lol. Also if someone pushes there fastbreak slider all the way, the more there team should fatigue and this should show on the court. Once again this is where that key word comes into play "STRATEGY". Oh my.... now I gotta give Kobe a breather, now what is we gone do!!! lol

Still seeing new cutscenes as well, not sure if more was implemented or there just rare, but nonetheless, good job with that, along with the emotions shown on the court. Cant stress that enough, excellent job. Don't take away. ADD ON!!! Remember that.

Well that's about all I've notice so far. Overall good job with the patch. Wish you would have fixed the money fastbreaks, but I'm not stressing though. It is what it is. We'll see what happens for 2010. Definitely a rental first this time though.

Its time to step it up although that isnt something the patch could include.

Can't tell you how much fun it is playing with a star player when he gets hot after the patch.

Yea exactly that's more my hope for Live 2010. Only played 1 quarter with the patch but I can tell this game will own me even more.

And I for some reason have only played NCAA 2009 for the past week despite enjoying both 2K9 and Live this year. And I don't even watch or know much about college ball. I'll pop in Live tonight for sure since the patch is out, but that NCAA hooked me good.

The patch made this game so much better, everything from jumpshots to layups just feels a lot more responsive. Playing defense is also a lot easier now that the players actually respond to your button presses. I was able to rebound, block shots, and steal passes with much more accuracy. This patch made the game go from okay to great imo.
