So When Did Live Start Giving Players Overall Ratings?
I was playing old Live's this weekend on Genesis. Up to 98, they didn't have overall ratings. I thought that was cool since I hate them so much these days on sports games.Concrete evidence/videos pleaseTags: None -

Re: So When Did Live Start Giving Players Overall Ratings?
In live 95 you could make threes with reggie miller from half court.
i coudlnt tell you what his three point rating was.
did he even have one?
i dont even ever remember looking at a dudes "Ratings" back then... just his stats to see if he could shoot threes. and i knew who could dunk back then and who had the "custom" animations so it was all good.
I used to give my friends the BUISNESS with Derrick Mckie, and Wesley Person...or was it Chuck...lol#SimnationComment

Re: So When Did Live Start Giving Players Overall Ratings?
The best player in NBA Live 95 was Rex Chapman.
He was unstoppable. I used to hit that leaning in 3 pointer all of the time, and he could dunk taking off from outside the key.
I like Live's rating system overall though, but sometimes I have to remember that the same player in Live is completelly different then in 2k.
a guy with a 3 point shooting rating of 70 in live is a much, much better 3 pt. shooter then a guy with the same rating in 2k.Comment

We don't want you guys seeing players with 90s all the time. That's reserved for the crazy good you know?Follow me on twitter: www.twitter.com/stephensonmc

I love Live 95....how the ball would shoot out from the player before his shooting animation was done LOL...
And the Charlotte Hornets were a beast on that game, Curry FTWComment

Re: So When Did Live Start Giving Players Overall Ratings?
As long as we're discussing overall ratings, in the recent Live 365 Update, the overall team ratings seem to be a bit off.
One example that I can think of without looking at the game is the Wizards. They were an overall 87 and Portland was I think 76. Do these ratings mean anything? Are they even relevant?
I ask the relevancy question because I took the Wiz to Portland and got beat by 12. I was down 30 in the second half.Comment
