I'll agree with whoever said something about the rim sounds. I think if the volume was toned down a bit more, it'd seem much more realistic.

i remember when watched alot of fight night round 4 vids and it kinda looked funny untill i played the demo and toughts changed quick..Im sayin stop nitpicking untill you actually play it cause we only seeing it from vids and when its in front of you on your own tv it makes a BIG of a difference trust meComment

Hey Marcus, is it possible to have the rim sounds toned down a bit? Are there menus for actual in-game sounds we could alter if this isn't possible? The clanks are a bit loud on jumpshots... It's something I could live with, just wondered if it was a possibility.Comment

Good video, here's my verdict:
The Good:
-Josh Smith's block at the end. Nuff said, although I do hope that the ball will go a little further than that if the defender really puts the stank on the swat. LOL
-Contact animation on the OJ Mayo (?) drive. Also, the Grizzlies player that Dwight was guarding (can't tell who it was) flared to the outside for an open jumper, and then went back into the paint once the shot went up to crash the boards
-Andersen's block on Duncan. Duncan actually reacted to the block by flailing his arms.
-I know this is a block/rebound trailer, but Deron's second spin move (the LeBron-type pivot he did) was very nice. Hopefully user triggered.
-On that same not, Bosh's block was nice. The ball actually went somewhere.
-Again, block/rebound trailer, but the J Rich step back jumper was beautiful and seamless, as was the closeout by Azubuike.
-Lopez got the rebound and went back up with it before hittin the deck. The overall idea is good, having players fall to the floor, but it looked like some magnetic force pulled him to the hardwood. Basically, good idea, ehhh execution. I did like his little "WTF, I got fouled!" gesture after he fell.
-The tip-in by Perkins. Bout damn time. LOL, just playin. Tip-ins are important though, good job.
The Bad:
-While having cloesout animations is VERY good and imperative, some of them were kinda off IMO. On some, such as Wallace's closeout on Roy's jumper, he kinda closed out to the side of Roy instead of actually on Roy himself. And on the Ilgauskas/Azubuike closeouts (respectively), they kind ran to the shooter, put a hand up and froze before continuing the defensive play. When they close out, they should kinda continue in that direction because of their momentum and then stop, then go back to do whatever they were doing
-I saw the forearm block from Lives past in the Harrington/Andersen clip. 99.9999% of blocks in the NBA are made with the palm or the fingertip-- the hand in general. I've never seen someone get a block with his forearm in real life. Not saying it doesn't happen, but I've never seen it, and I watch a lot of NBA basketball.
-Perkins mannerisms after the tip. I'm sure people have talked about it already, but we've seen the same thing from Chris Paul and Kobe Bryant. It seems to be too common, but I (read: everyone) should wait until the retail version or at least the demo to make judgment on that.
-Tony Parker probably should have cut baseline on the entry pass to Duncan. I'm seriously nitpicking on that one, though.
-Not sure why Boozer flared all the way to the three on Williams' drive, but the fact that he popped out at all is very good
-Chandler seemed to get "suctioned" into the proper position to get the rebound.
-If you look at LeBron in the Celtics/Cavs clip, when the shot goes up, he (along with a couple other guys) seem to be staring off into the crowd, into space, somewhere-- I'm not really sure. Their focus should be on the basket, and they should be looking at it. Again though, I'm nitpicking.
So, there it is. Very good video. More good than bad, which should say a lot, especially since almost half my "Bad" critiques were nitpicking and I also literally watched the video several times trying to find anything bad to add to the list-- the good stood out much more.

Is it just me or does Live always seem rigid and stiff? 2k is more fluid. I like some of these improvements Live is making and I will of course try the game out, but I don't know if I can get over how stiff it looks and previous versions feel when playing.Comment
