I want you guys to keep this in mind please...

When you see the gameplay videos we've posted, and even the gamescom video (although I have ulcers b/c someone posted that) remember that you've seen our game from the gameplay camera. Just remember what we've shown you.

the videos you're seeing are on rookie. Not only ratings, but key mechanics in our game have been toned down on rookie by a great margin. As IGN said, it's a completely different game on All-Star.

The reason I ask why, is because there is a philosophical principle behind difficulty levels in any simulation.

Should the hardest difficulty be as hard as possible, or should it only be as hard as real life allows? If it's as hard as possible, then Kobe Bryant may have trouble scoring one on one vs. Mike Bibby. If it's only as hard as real life principles, then the difficulty has to come from somewhere else, because that would still be a mismatch. So the speed of the double team, or help defense would be responsible for the increase in challenge.

I think adhering to the former method can compromise the experience for a lot of users, but it's not a simple discussion.

This happens every year. Somehow some way some goons get ahold of the game early and they ALWAYS PLAY EXACTLY LIKE THIS.... not just Live but 2k as well... It never fails. NEVER

They're like 2k6(next gen) and 2k7's.. A big step up from last years ones but :-\ with how good the whole product looks on the court(players, coaches, arenas, rims, nets) I can't help but think it looks incomplete now.

I can't tell if the longer video is a higher difficulty or if the players are just actually playing like normal people. LOL!

If the first one was Rookie (which it looked like judging from them lobbing it up the court and getting easy layups 905 of the time), that one looks like Pro. But yeah, it seems as if the play style makes the biggest difference in how the game looks... I saw some shots that shouldn't have fallen (mainly the Dwight 3) in the vid above, but it did seem as if the defense was a bit more stout and you couldn't just run in for layups.

why does it look like they're all running with their heads cut off. It looks frantic, spazzy and tough to overcome.

Nice, The demo looks better then i expected. Although you wont get the real experience until you get it in your own hands. And play it the right way.

Read the descripton pane of the video it states that that game was on rookie level.
