No, you'd play as the Lakers or the Cavs, not as a single player... that's Live Run, which is totally separate. And no, I don't imagine you could create your own player since the point is to have only real-life transations and stats in the Dynamic Season.

Hopefully you can create a guy and play unranked OTP with him, but I can't say I'd be hurt if that wasn't included... know some people like doing that though.

Sounds complicated but totally awesome if done right.

So basically the real nba season is playing around you and you are just controlling the destiny of your team. So if a player from my team gets traded away during the real season that will be reflected in my next game?

Hope they can pull it off!

I'm definitely doing a Dynamic Season. With DNA and real injuries and real time roster updates this is going to be incredible. I always hated when someone was hurt in my season but they weren't hurt in real life.

I'll spend a lot of time in the hangar in practice mode and playing a lot of Play Now games with various teams until the season rolls around. Hopefully the patch(es) will be out by the time the real season starts. Go Nuggets!!!!!!!!

Thanks for the info. For some reason I'm having a hard time getting on that site right now.

Wish you could create a player tho. Man playing as yourself trying to out pace Kobe each game for the scoring title would have been sweet!

I'd be surprised if they got rid of Dynasty mode.

Only thing about dynamic season is that it's going to be extremely important to have the quarter length and sliders set in such a way that you yourself are able to have REALISTIC stats. Playing 5 minute quarters and scoring 40 ppg is not gonna cut it with the rest of the league having real stats.

Millennia ago when I was high school this would have appealed to me greatly, but now I don't have the slight interest in playing this way. I'm going to be curious to see if this mode actually ends up being played long term by the folks here.

Having injuries and trades be something that happens without any connection at all to the games you play is totally incongruous. Also having go at the actual pace of the NBA season and play only one game a day, would make me insane.

My guess is that most of the fellas here will bail out on this mode after a few weeks at most.

Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.

Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.

Re: Dynamic Season & Live Run details

I doubt that. The way I see it, Dynamic Season isn't replacing Dynasty mode or Online Leagues for anyone, but exhibition games and playoffs. I figure most people play online leagues or Dynasty/franchise, then you throw in some exhibition games, maybe you do a playoffs tourney. For my exhibition games, I like to play the games that are on tonight or replay one from last night. Instead, I just fire up Dynamic Season and play in there, and at the end of my season I can either play the real playoffs or my own. No reason to bail on it.

Of course, that is all hypothetical since I don't plan on picking up Live 10 unless there is some feedback on what demo issues arent in the retail copy. It seems to me this game is going to be floundering until it gets patched and the season starts to pour DNA into it.

Still never answered. Is there serious injuries in Dynasty? Or none at all...

It's only for the dynamic season that there won't be serious injuries, the reasoning being that they want to keep the rosters completely accurate.

Quite the opposite for me. Since I watch darn near every Nuggets game, I'll fire up the 360 the next day or if I miss a couple game I'll go back and catch up on the weekend. Having true accurate rosters/lineups is such a bonus. I would always bail on my seasons because I had to manually do trades during the season and people who weren't hurt were out, etc. or the computer won't allow a trade or players involved in a trade aren't even in the game. Eliminates all of that. Awesome for me.

Injuries and trades are not without connection. They are totally connected. And since you can play any game if you wanna throw in some random match ups you can.

This mode was created because the Live team heard the roar of the players that wanted it.

This isn't a relatively new idea. Credit does go to the Live team for making it happen, but fans of sports games have been asking for something similar for a long time now.

I, for one, have been doing essentially this same thing through exhibition. I (not me alone obviously) then wanted to play any game in the season schedule because I wanted to control the NBA, not a single team. I wanted to have my own Sunday afternoon game that I could enjoy with simulated stats.

Now Live is taking it a step further and throwing you right into the real thing. People won't bail; they've wanted this.

This really isn't for the one team kind of person. I'm sure there are people that will go day-by-day with their one team, but I see this being bigger for those that like to play any game in the schedule. I don't care if I have to follow the NBA Season. If I want to play more than one game, I'll just play multiple games from the same date.

Yea man this is true. I've always been into playing with my home team, but the more I think about it the idea of simply playing all of the exciting games throughout an NBA season actually sounds pretty fun. Yea, I think i'm gonna like this mode once the NBA season rolls around.
