    Shot Timing

I'm having trouble with this so I hope a Dev can chime in on this. If you guys have any tips I'd love to hear those too.

I have no idea why the dev team decided to take out the shot timing meter. At least w/ that in place I knew what the best release was. Now I'm just confused because I can make shots with both long and short releases.

I hate not knowing because then I'm just helpless when I have to shoot open jumpshots Lol.

Yup, some sort of indicator (either a meter like '09 or a what 2k does) would be nice.

Be glad you can tell when you've released early or late unlike last year or we'd be in a world of hurt...lol.

Is their still a practice mode designated for just NBA teams or are we limited to the hangar.

All I know is that the practice gym is still availabe in dynasty mode according to the devs. I don't know if the academy is still in though.

The academy is still there but not the shot timing meter I believe.

Damn so do you have any tips on shot timing? Like any visual cues I can follow or the best time to release the shot.

you just got to get familiar with the players' shots and see when their peak is and thats when you release it.

This won't answer your question, but practice clears it up pretty quickly.

From what I've found while playing, there is a very slight hitch at the ideal release point of every players shot. Mess around in the hanger and you'll see what I'm talking about.

I noticed this too but I didn't really mess with it because I thought I holding the shot for too long. I will look into this the next time I play.

I know this but when you practice the wrong way all you do is get better at playing the wrong way.

I'm trying to make sure when I'm shooting around I'm practicing good habits not bad ones.

I'm surprised there hasn't been more mention of the academy, I remember hearing you still had it Months and Months ago but then nothing, I thought it got dropped, good to hear its still there..

I have higher success % when holding the Shot button longer than I should, I think...Like how I would still make shots without even releasing the shot button is craxy!
