So...i'll say it right now, LIVE 10 has a lot of WTF moments in it. Maybe too many for some. I've seen Dwight Howard take 20 foot fade aways. I've seen big Andrew Bynum crossover at the top of the key and shoot a fadeaway...I've seen rebounds seemingly warp into guys hands...I could go on. Bigs often simply slide off your man when you guard them. I could go on......
However...you know what? This game also does a hell of a lot right. There's, literally, several times a game even in the demo that I sit there and say out loud "wow".
Play sets
Game pace
Atmosphere
Depth...legitimate depth.
I could go on...and on.
At first I hated the D...but now that I've got more used to it, I am having some great moments using guards and playing on ball D. (Bigs I am not sure about still...but guards is very realistic once you get the hang of it).
This game is going to require a lot of time.
If you want to enjoy it this season, you're going to have to:
A - Invest hours learning it + learning your teams playbook.
B - Be able to accept the "WTF" moments when you see something stupid. You're going to have to decide that the "wow" moments outweigh the "WTF" moments...relax, accept this and move on.
Pretty simple IMO.
If you're really bothered by the WTF moments...this won't be the game for you this season IMO. Dyamic DNA won't fix all these "moments". LIVE 09 still had them...it's in the engine.
But that same engine has a hell of a lot of depth and is going to give those who perservere a lot of enjoyment this season IMO.
Ultimately it's up to the individual as to whether the pros outweigh the cons.
