Presentation is important, graphics are important... But gameplay is by far the most important element. And thankfully for Live fans, it appears as though Live 10 will be delivering in that area.

I believe the most important thing is online gameplay. It's hard to imagine why people ask for a more in depth Dynasty mode when they could be playing 5 on 5 online.

All resources should be used to perfect online because offline gameplay is archaic... people might say "Not everyone has an internet connection!" but I bet at least 75% of people with a next gen system do.

1. Gameplay-The game has to run smooth and the players have to be smart and play like themselves and act as if it was real life.

2.Graphics-The players have to look like themselves and the courts and arenas have to be authentic.

3.Presentation-It has to replicate a real tv broadcast PERIOD.

4.All the extra stuff like mascots and the little things.

Floor Spacing, Realistic Ball Movement, Good Defensive AI, Realistic Points in the Paint, Player Momentum, Foot Planting, and Realistic Stats for 12 Minute Quarters.

If a game is lacking in that foundation then it is hard to build for the future.

Online is definitely huge... That's what I do primarily. Most of my friends are NHL fans so online is really the only way for me to play human opponents. And if it's not running smoothly, then you end up feeling like you wasted 60 bucks. Live 09 ran very well I thought.
