Re: Official NBA Live 10 Impressions Thread
Since I was all over the board wondering about any dynamic commentary in Live I figured I would post my own answer.
Unfortunately, there really isn't any. I played 5 games mid way through season and the only thing the commentators talked about was what was going on in the current game. I was really hoping to hear some more advanced story-lines.
Other than that, Live is solid and builds on 09 very well. Exciting sounds, crowds, and in game highlights. The freestyle passing is a great addition. I was able to pull off some true point guard plays driving to the lane. Keeping some dribble moves on the right stick helps as well.
My only gripes so far, are the body block shots and too often players lose the ball when driving. I know that was to tone down penetration, but it happens a little too often. Maybe I just need to get use to playing.Work Hard...Pay Bills...Work Hard...Pay BillsComment

Yea, probably right, but was hoping to have it in my own dynasty. I like to create myself and it would be cool to hear the announce say that I am in the MVP race or how I just dropped 15 and 10 on the Spurs (living my basketball dreams)Work Hard...Pay Bills...Work Hard...Pay BillsComment

Re: Official NBA Live 10 Impressions Thread
My next game was Knicks (me) home against the Bobcats (CPU). 12 minute quarters. Bobcats won 101-99. This was so much different than my first game. Very slow-paced. Duhon led us with 20. Raja Bell had around 23 and Tyson Chander had 9 Points and 16 Rebounds.
This game really plays at an NBA-game pace out of the box.
It has alot of polishing to do but it's definately headed in the right direction.
I was playing the Knicks game at MSG and some family came over. They said to me and I quote, "I didn't know basketball season started already."
It wasn't the look of the game. It was the sound of it.Comment

Re: Official NBA Live 10 Impressions Thread
Sorry for starting a chain of non-impression posts...but back to impressions.
Not sure about trade logic I simmed all the way to the last regular season game and notice something pretty crazy. Lebron and Delonte West on the Clippers.
Playoff atmosphere was ok, not exceptional. It seemed like it was the same up and down noise level as a regular season game except with white towels waiving. This was a little disappointing.
The flow of the game is very good to me. I played the game against the Clippers and Lebronbut the computer still made him the focus of the team. Its like they changed their plays once he was added.
Animations are improved with the freestyle passing. I pulled off a crazy jumper to around the back pass to Derek Fisher for 3 with Kobe. It was sweat. (Wish I knew about saving replays).
Can't wait to get online.Work Hard...Pay Bills...Work Hard...Pay BillsComment
